What kind of Puerh are you drinking right now?!
Greetings Tea Friends! So what kind of Puerh are you drinking right now?! I am enjoying a session of 2009 Yubang Dong Ban Shan Ancient raw cake!
2011 Shudaizi Big Tree Spring Bud Pu-erh Cake.
when this cake is gone, I plan to buy another (….. and another and another). superb pu!
Spiced Elderberry Pu’er from Verdant – sipdown – very good – sad to see it go. Funny but I have not had a pu’er in a long time and I come here and there is this thread. :)
Hi Sam! I am currently drinking from a 2007 purple bud puerh cake, which is featured here:
http://steepster.com/teas/tea-adventure/34965-purple-bud-puerh
It is very fragrant and rich in flavour and has a thick taste with sweet plum-like notes as well as a dark chocolate aftertaste (my personal description, of course). Overall, it is quite a nice puerh, however, I do prefer a more ripened puerh as I do not fancy the taste that young-raw puerhs give, hehe! :)
Salutations Luckystar!
That Beencha does indeed look very interesting. I’ve had, and enjoyed, Purple bud Puerh. Given your preference, maybe you should put the tea aside for a couple of years!
Just had some Wild Monk maocha from Mandala Tea
Honestly its the best sheng I’ve had :) It is also the most expensive (per gram) I’ve had though.
It’s very crisp and clean tasting, and very mild but not weak if that makes sense. Pretty much no bitterness too.
I keep meaning to write a tasting note for it, but when I brew it up I’m usually too busy enjoying it :P
What year was this Maocha produced? I’ve had a really inexpensive purple tip maocha that was pretty good. It was refreshing with no bitterness at all.
