Register a Tea tree for Earth Day with Adagio Teas
This is so neat! I love the little tea field graphic with the tiny tea sprouts! I planted mine in India. I wanted to plant one in China (for Keemun tea), but it sounds like those plants are meant to be turned into white tea?
Yes, it says that the Chinese (Fujian) tea will be white, the Indain will be Assam black, and the ones in Tiawan will be oolong from the Nantou region . I didn’t think of this til now, but the Indian could be used to make a great base for chai!:)
The oolong fields are filling in the quickest.
Taiwan, Nantou: 453/760 filled
China, Fujian: 351/700 filled
India, Assam: 335/660 filled
I just got an email saying my tea tree has sprouted.
“Congratulations! Your tea-tree has been selected & is being raised in an indoor nursery until it is ready to begin its outdoor journey. In the next few weeks we will update you as to its status & provide instructions on how you can help to take care of it along the way”
Mine sprouted too! Yay! I wonder if everyone received the same email.
I’m not sure Lena, they made it sound like not all the trees might survive.
Mine sprouted too! I’m curious to see what happens over the next 3 years!
Um… mine didn’t sprout. Or at least if it did, no one told me. Sad now. Boo hoo.
I would have thought you would have gotten an email either way…
I’m wondering what they are meaning by “provide instructions on how you can help to take care of it along the way…”
Nothing! I even wrote to them to ask and they haven’t replied. :-(
Nope, nothing came. Checked my junk mail folder even and nothing. Maybe it’s because I didn’t sign up the first day and it will show up later?
Did anyone else get an email update today?
Yeah it said the trees are getting bigger, and put in the outdoor garden from the indoor nursery
Sure did and there was something about sharing with the family info coming soon.
Yes! It got through this time.
Is there anything we can do at this point besides see the little tree icon in the field? Last time I was at the site, that was all I saw.
I was too late! :’(
But I turned off my light, at Earth Day two months ago. :-)
On twitter a few minutes ago.
From AdagioTeas on twitter, so reply on twitter if interested:
“We are on the cusp of rolling out phase two of our tea tree promotion. Anyone who planted a tea tree on Earth day willing to beta test? "
this is a very cool thing I did it months back :) and they send you pics of your little tree growing away :) very fun!
