Mid-Week Sipdown
We’re in the middle (I PRAY it’s the middle!) of what appears to be a record-setting heatwave and I seem to experience an avalanche of tea samples and full bags of tea every time I open the cabinet in which I store my tea. I’m constantly catching them as they fall out and having to stuff them back in amongst my kids’ goldfish crackers and the olive oil I store in the same cupboard. SO…I think I’m going to try a sipdown later today. I should be able to finish up a couple of the samples I’ve accumulated and some of them have proven to be VERY good cold which is just what I need to face this heat. Feel free to join me!
NS had a heat wave last weekend (record breaking heat is not my friend) and I went days without tea. I am not really a fan of iced tea but I did have a bit in addition to litres and litres of ice water. I hope your heat reduces soon!!
I just did a sipdown this morning! :O I’m in. Also I’m hoping for things to cool down a bit to a more reasonable level for you guys.
Well, if I’m just now getting to my first cup of tea, it looks like it will be a long day! I’m working on a sample package of Apple Cinnamon Yogurt tea from Della Terra. LOVE the way it smells but I’m a little disappointed in the flavor. It just seems sort of bland (I’ll put this in my tasting notes as well.) but there is a slight apple-y aftertaste which isn’t so bad. I am hoping it tastes a little better cold than it does hot!
I’m having the same problem (with the samples, not the heatwave thankfully). I went on vacation and three generous swap partners sent me packages in the mean time. I’ve decided to spend the next two weeks trying to sip down all these great samples that were waiting for me. I’ve managed to knock out three so far this week. I only need to sip down 115 more to reach my goal of under 150 before black Friday.
Apparently I’m taking tonight off from tea since I’m sitting up at Caribou drinking coffee.
I’ve pretty much been drinking 3 teas for the past two weeks… And systematically ignoring the large box of samples staring me down from my pantry! I think I’ll designate tomorrow as my sample sipdown day… Especially because I’m getting my wisdom teeth removed on friday and I won’t be able to have hot tea for several days. Oh the humanity!
