Maliandao Tea Market in Beijing- Help

Hello,

I’m new to steepster and am so glad I found it. As a huge tea lover (especially pu-ehr, white tea and green tea), I’m excited to discover new teas and learn from a tea-lovers community. English is not my first language so please excuse any grammatical horror show.

A few weeks ago, I was in Beijing with a friend. We visited Maliandao tea market (I could have spent a week in there! Such an amazing place). My friend fell in love with a teapot, but it was quite expensive, neither of us had enough cash with us, the market was closing, so she didn’t buy it. She immediately regretted it. We were leaving the day after, so had no chance to go back.

When we came back home, she fell sick, went to the hospital, and learned she has a very serious condition. We don’t know if she’ll recover. I would like to do something meaningful for her, and I know what would please her the most would be that teapot. I’ve been looking everywhere, all over the interwebs, asked every tea shop I know, and haven’t been able to find a similar teapot.

So I was wondering: do any of you live in Beijing, or will be visiting Beijing soon? Of course, I’m not asking you to buy the teapot for me, but it would mean the world to me if I could get the name, email or phone of the owner of the shop that carried the teapot.

Any help would be much, much appreciated.
Thank you so much, and I look forward to exchange on teas in this forum.

Clemence
