Steepster Not Working For Me
Anyone else been having page loading issues lately? Likes not showing up after you click on them? My tasting notes weren’t showing up either off and on so now I have been saving them in word before posting. Is anyone else having problems?

Yup same here. Been happening since the weekend. I think it is just a bug. Has happened before, will have to wait it out.
I’ve also noticed that it happens more at night than during the day. At least for me it does.
I’ve been taking notes/writing tastings down on paper then posting them the next day since Steepster has been enjoying eating them randomly. Lol.
Steepster barely works at all, pretty much only directly from the dashboard for me, and it’s been so for the past 3 weeks. I had weird curiosity about why a lot of the old guard—regulars who’d been an institution here for like 3-4 years—up and pretty much disappeared the past couple months, and I’m beginning to wonder if it’s because of this, and only a newbie like myself who doesn’t post as often would notice so late. Weird stuff.
People disappear here fairly regularly. In the time I’ve been here (~2.5 years) I’ve seen people come and go, even people who were super active. I have to say I haven’t noticed any more exodus than normal lately. Some of it probably has to do with people not wanting to deal with the site, but I think most of it is people getting busy, moving on. If you’ve been here for 2+ years, you’ve usually learned to deal with Steepster’s regular hiccups.
Agreed. I barely notice when Steepster is weird(er) unless I get the kettle page. :) I’ve been around for going on three years and a lot of people come and go. Sometimes when we’re lucky the oldies return. I think it is like many things in life where communities and friendships sometimes fall to the wayside for a bit. I only post a tasting note once a week or two now, though I still check the site multiple times a day. I’m a sucker. :)
Agree with what uniquity and dinosara have said. I’ve been here for just over a year and this is almost normal (though frustrating). It won’t be what sends me away. I love the community here too much. If anything i chalked it up to summer and being busy getting ready for getting back to the “normal” grind.
That’s reassuring. Maybe my problems are browser related and not Steepster, hm (I can load and post discussion threads most of the time, the kettle shows up occasionally…the biggest thing is I can’t do anything logging/commenting on other logs/editing logs-wise unless it’s directly from the dashboard (pretty frustrating as it means whatever I say about a tea or someone else’s log I’ve only go so long to be able to say/edit, before it falls off the dashboard), and I’ve had private messaging/following problems. I agree that what keeps me addicted to Steepster is the community for sure, so hearing that people coming and going is normal makes me feel more hopeful—thank you!
Solution Found!
Problem: Out-of-place menus & navigation issues
Just recently, it apparently has become necessary to press the “Compatibility View” button with IE-10 to be able to properly navigate Steepster, even though this wasn’t previously necessary. (I’ve been a member since Jan., 2013.)
The IE-10 “Compatibility View” button is found in the navigation bar, immediately to the left of the “Refresh” button.
Lately, I’ve been having trouble with the message feature. It’s either a blank page or won’t loud at all. Not sure if the message I tried to send even got sent or not.
