Pumpkin Flavoured Teas

It’s nearing pumpkin season again. So I would like to try some new flavours. I’ve already had Della Terra’s Pumpkin Pies, and David’s Pumpkin Chai. Any recommendations?

I actually put this same question on one of my tasting notes, and Dexter3567 gave me a really detailed response that I’ll repost for you:

“Of the ones I’ve tried, Della Terra Grandma’s Pumpkin Pie was my favorite. Tealux Pumpkin Spice Rooibos is really good but is more cantaloupe than pumpkin. Fusion Tea Pumpkin Mate is good, but the mate isn’t the best base (but I like it better than their rooibos). Sleepy Hollow Pumpkin Chai – Culinary Teas is too spicy, drowns out the pumpkin. Butiki Pumpkin Creme Brulee didn’t taste like anything (but I know others loved it). Davids Pumpkin Chai had candies in it, and I found that made it taste artificial to me – again others really like it. I’ve tried two from 52teas, and thought they were pumpkin pie spice, but without the pumpkin flavor.”

I love pumpkin teas, and am getting more to try. I got a swap sample in the mail today of iHeartTeas Creamy Pumpkin Spice, and I have another swap for Harney and Sons Pumpkin Spice, and I’ve ordered Pumpkin teas from two companies. Will write tasting notes as I try them. The hunt continues for the PERFECT one….

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Creamy Pumpkin Spice Tea. :)

Looking forward to hearing what you think of the Harney one—I just saw it for the first time last week and was considering trying it.

We have a black tea with a nice pumpkin flavor here:http://theteacupany.com/black-tea/pumpkin-pie/

Really nice tea on its own, but personally I like to blend it a bit with something to give it a bit more spice.

Small Canadian Company that offers a TON of flavored teas – cucumber white? rhubarb green? Grapefruit Oolong?, ability to order in small quantities (most teas 10g $1.50 or 25g $2.50), with flat shipping rate under 50.00 (free over 50.00). No teas listed under either The TeaCupany or TeaCupany here on Steepster – I think we need to change that.
I’ve placed an order of 12 small samples including the pumpkin pie. Will let you guys know what I think….

TeaCupany – just an FYI, there are two black teas called “Candied Apple” that sound very similar but have different descriptions. I found this confusing, are these the same tea? If so you might want to delete one of them, if not the descriptions should be more clear to the difference. Just MHO…trying to help.

Hey Dexter3657,

We just opened up a bit ago and as you can see still working out the kinks. For some reason Candied Apple was given to two teas, but they are different teas. I have fixed it so Caramel Cream now shows correctly :) Thank you for pointing that out.

We have just started getting some orders and look forward to adding more on here :)

Just working on your order right now, maybe including a couple of our fan favorites :)

Thank you. I liked the look of your site and REALLY appreciate the small sample sizes available. Makes it easier to try several different teas. I will review them on here as I try them, try and help you get the word out. :))

Not a problem :) Just finished up your order actually!

Sample sizes are one of the reasons why I started it up as many places offer a free sample or two, but I would feel bad ordering 10… and the smallest sizes were usually 50g or higher which is a lot to gamble on something. Paired with most teatailors being in the states I was always afraid of shipping and handling fees.

So I thought why not start something I would like to be a customer for?

I put in an extra free sample in the bags too.

I have a wonderful twist on the traditional pumpkin tea. It is called Creamy Pumpkin Spice Tea. It makes a wonderful latte and tastes great straight too.
