San Francisco Tea Safari?

I was just poking around the Bon Teavant website when I saw they offered private 4-hour tours of “San Francisco’s tea culture”. Has anyone done this or heard anything about it? I do have a ridiculously long layover in San Francisco in June, so was just wondering if it would be worth checking out. I’ve flicked them an email asking for more information (as the page is very vague http://market.bonteavant.com/TOURS-CLASSES_c6.htm ), but figured I should try my luck here anyway seeing as you all are a knowledgable bunch :)

Samovar! lol. Ok that was really random, but if it isn’t included in the tour, you should go.

I have no opinion of them really. I’ve never been there and have only tried one of their teas- although at 1st glance I can tell you some of their teas are really expensive. What gave you the idea I don’t like them? I did suggest she go.

Did they send you any more info?

No, they work with you to cater to your tastes and interests after you book it, so I’m guessing the tea lounges you visit may vary depending on the teas you like. It would have been nice to have a decent write-up on the site though, considering how much you have to pay upfront!
