Flat rate shipping is ~$15 by the way. So we are basically getting free shipping (I live in the us) plus about $5 off of our total tea purchase.
Makes for a pretty good deal.

Thank you all. Although there is currently only one review on Steepster and the rating isn’t so well, I assure you these are truly artisanal teas made by local tea masters.

For Black Tea: RED RHYTHM/ 紅韻 (AKA TTES#21)

Soft and scrumptious
Posted by Foguii on 21st Sep 2013

Dark brown “spider legs” impress on opening this pack of rare black tea. Sweet candy, cooked apple, lychee, and pineapple are only some of the many flavours offered by the wet leaves. A velvety brew with fruit decidedly on the berry side, that also offers rose flavours and more subtle vegetal notes (hay, cut grass). This is overall a very well balanced black tea that will without a doubt please the most demanding tea drinkers.

Exquisite Artisinal Black Tea
Posted by Tea Journeyman on 6th Sep 2013

This tea is the definition of an artisanal black tea. This tea presents beautiful, large, fully intact leaves that are obviously hand-plucked and hand-twisted. The aromas of the dry leaves, as well as the tea liquor, and the infused leaves are all very pleasant and high quality. The taste is remarkable, not needing any additives to make it a treat to sip. I am very happy that this sample packet of 25 grams is generous enough for me to make one more large pot of this excellent tea. This is a tea that every tea drinker should experience. However, your typical Keemun, Earl Grey, or Darjeeling may not be so appealing after you get spoiled by this Red Rhythm black tea from Taiwan. Excellent product!

RED JADE/ 紅玉 (AKA RUBY BLACK OR TTES#18)

Black tea with a citrus feel
Posted by Foguii on 21st Sep 2013

Long twisted, dark chocolate leaves take a lighter shade of brown (tobacco) as water seeps into them. Decidedly fruity, red jade boasts tangy citrus aromas ( lemon, orange) and a very floral note, with timid malty undertones. A vivid, spicy tang, then, without astringency, that leaves a long-lasting impression with a fresh, subtle liquorice finish

RED OF FOUR SEASONS/ 四季紅

A complex, exotic brew
Posted by Foguii on 21st Sep 2013

This exceptional tea knows how to make a frist impression, with delicate, long twisted leaves with a few golden tips, a fragrance reminiscent of wet wood, wicker, berries, and more fruity/honeyed notes as the leaves get moistened. The deep copper brew has a pleasant velvety texture and just enough astringency to balance out the sweetness. Lingering aromas of lychees, blackberries, peaches with malty undertones combine towards a fresh, menthol finish. Brilliant!

Honey and Fruit Taste, and a Mentholated Feel
Posted by Tea Journeyman on 18th Sep 2013

The dry leaves have a fruit and honey aroma, with a light note of mint. The dry leaves appear to be hand plucked, with very little stem content. Leaves are smaller than other Taiwanese black teas that I have had, but still larger than a typical Chinese black tea. I infused 6.5 grams in 18 ounces of 200F water for 2 minutes. The color of the liquor is a golden dark yellow, almost like a lighter form of honey. The aroma has fruit and honey character, with a slight earthy/woody note. A sweet taste of honey and fruit fills the mouth, with a menthol (minty) feeling in the aftertaste. The liquor is very smooth, and medium bodied through three infusions. The taste is nicely balanced, and perfectly tasteful with no additives necessary. The infused leaves reveal many fully intact leaves. I have grown to love Taiwanese black teas, and this Red of Four Seasons only reinforced that passion. Great product! Highly recommended.

Mint and More
Posted by Keith on 21st Aug 2013

Brewed in what’s become my normal style for reds lately, a packed 50ml yixing with flash infusions.

My first impression on smelling the dry leaves was dark and very minty, and the first few brews agreed. I’ve gotten the odd hints of mint from Taiwanese reds before, but this tea is upfront minty for the first half a dozen or so infusions, which is a nice surprise. I took a nice deep breath after these infusions through the mouth, and you can taste/feel the mintiness on the breath. The tea is also darker than other Taiwanese reds I’ve had before, but remains smooth and coats the back of my throat with a nice lingering thickness. The tea remains fruity over the infusions, with lighter fruits as the brews go on. Two other interesting fragrances included a few infusions of baked rye bread, and one infusion that reminded me of the beach.

Good stuff.

Excellent flavors with a very smooth body
Posted by Unknown on 21st Aug 2013

The tea leaves have a very organic & pure aroma. Steeps an excellent tasting cup with no astringency. It has a very pleasant honey flavor to it and is rounded out well with milk. Even tastes great with a 2nd steeping!

I really need to stop buying tea. I ordered the black 3 pack and the “charbroiled” oolong. I think that’s a translation issues. I’m hoping for charcoal roasted.

I’m thinking about that oolong too as well as two of the blacks. I need to stop to. Plus, Alliexpress is having a system wide sale promotion on Oct 15th. Not all of the vendors participate, but last time some of my favourite ones did. The really big discount items are usually like boxing day sales here though, a few items at massive discount that sell out almost immediately.

@Dexter3657, Yes, it is charcoal roasted. I will fix it immediately.

There are just too many vendors, seems like there is always something on sale, and new ones joining here. Ugggg – starting to think I should just stop reading steepster… ok that’s not going to happen, but I just keep buying. Need to STOP!!!
Hope you find some great deals on the 15th :))
