I have not had a lot of matcha but caramel matcha definitely sounds delicious!

I’d like to try the gingerbread…or any of this type of tea really! It’s something I haven’t tried before or even really heard much about. But gingerbread gets my vote for sure!

It sounds like a lovely idea but I don’t have proper match equipment. What do people suggest?

I don’t have any equipment either. Since they are offering Matchacinno as an option I’d get that if I were you. You can make it cold in the blender, or I’ve made it warm and just whisked it with a fork!

You know… I realized I know what Matcha is but not Matchaccino. So I looked it up and that seems quite interesting.

I don’t have the proper matcha equipment either, I’ve been using a mini whisk and a corningware bowl that is similar in size to a matcha bowl. It works well enough to start out with. If you haven’t had matcha before I would hold off buying anything special until you’re sure you actually enjoy it.

+1 on try before you buy. When I tried matcha I got enthusiastic and bought the tools beforehand. They now sit unused on my tea stand and take up space because I don’t like it very much and hubby doesn’t make it very often. I will likely take Red Leaf up on the free sample offer to give different flavours a go occasionally but as a rule it’s not my thing. Darn tempting tools!

I use a corningware bowl too—one of those bowl of soup ones—and it works great!

You can just sprinkle it on yogurt. Or dissolve it in warm milk. No prep required.

I get a Matcha Green tea Latte alot from the local tea house near us. Made with non dairy creamer. I think it’s awesome but oftn hear Matcha is quite bitter. What type of bitter is it equated to? Are we talking really over steeped tea bitter … guess I’m just trying to get a feel for what I’ll be tasting.

Uniquity said

Typically matcha is bitter because it is made with too hot water or is of poor quality. Ideally there is no bitterness, but the times I have made it bitter it was like a strong green tea concentrate with astringency from over-steeping. Like I said though, you can avoid that. :)

Finally got the listing to work. If you encounter any problems, please let me know.

It is not required, but if you could share this link on Facebook or Twitter or anywhere I would appreciate it. I’m hoping to get a few new customers out of this promo, but this will only happen if the word spreads. The more people know about it, the longer I’ll be able to keep this program going :-)
PS: The description is still being worked on so forgive the mistakes, but I wanted it out ASAP.

A big ‘thank you’ from me, too. I have been wanting to try matcha, and you just made it impossible for me to put it off any longer!

I’ll wait until a sample I’ve never tried comes out so others have a chance, but I’m sharing this like crazy on facebook!

Tweeted and posted on Facebook! Thanks for the promo – I hope it helps bring a lot of new people in.

Do we subscribe to this or sign up to it each month? Or do you prefer if we just try a month, and then let other people try the next month to spread it around?

Thank you so much! I am really excited to try matcha for the first time!! I shared on both facebook and twitter.

I posted on twitter, Facebook, and tumblr. Hopefully that will send some new customers your way!

I posted about the free matcha on reddit’s /r/tea. Hopefully it catches some attention there too.

This is great! I have been wanting to try but just could not justify a purchase right now. But now I can try it! And I get paid tomorrow so I’ll have money for another month to order more! Excited! You definitely have a new customer! :)

You can put this on slickdeals – but you’d have probably a few thousand orders before the night is through. I’m not sure you want that.

TeaLady441 said

That, or RedFlagDeals (for Canadians).
I thought about it, but didn’t want to post it because that might be too much attention.

thank you for recommendations

seriously – if this hits slickdeals, your site won’t be accessible for the next 2 days. people would create multiple accounts, multiple orders – all for a few grams of free tea. they take the something for nothing mentality very seriously. be careful!

I have just tried to post it there, not sure if I have done it right. let me know if you can find it. feel free to post it there as well :-)

I posted it for you. I don’t think they allow self-endorsement – but, I’ll endorse you!

Thank you so much. I think the offer worked a bit too well. It’s 9AM and I already have over 3000 orders for the free matcha. My server had to be upgraded twice to stop crashing :-)
I will have to get more product to fulfill the orders, but I’m not sure how much I can get on such short notice. I will keep the offer open in case I can get more product but at some point I may have to pull the plug.
Next month I’ll be more prepared. I just did not expect this :-)

Wow, that escalated quickly. Wish I could be there to help you with all of those orders! Maybe next time have a limited quantity of samples available? Good luck, hope it goes smoothly.

Hopefully you get lots of repeat business out of this, as I assume it will be a very expensive promotion for you.

Yes, that’s what I was worried about. Do you need me to delete the post?

No, do not delete it. I have deiced to get more matcha to make a bit more. Not sure how much I can get at such short notice. It still may not be enough, but at least I can inform the people that placed the orders and won’t get it, to give them early intro to next month’s flavor via email.
I will have to work out a better way to do this next month :-)

I didn’t order because I already have a partial tin of the caramel matcha and three bags of matchaccino! I do hope it drums up lots of new business for you. Two of my friends ordered, so I will have them over to try more flavors since they are interested.

My roommate and I both put in an order, if that’s alright.

Personally, I haven’t really liked any of the matchas I’ve tried so if it weren’t for this great deal I probably wouldn’t have put in an order. Hopefully I’m able to find something I enjoy!

My roommate, on the other hand, loved both matchas I’ve had in the house (he ended up drinking everything I didn’t give away) so when I told him about this he actually put in an order. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen him personally express an interest in wanting to get tea for himself an not just drink what I have…

That said, since we ARE in the same household if there’s an issue with the fact we both placed orders just don’t send one of them (it doesn’t really matter which one).

And thanks again for this great deal!

Usually orders with same address will be delete to avoid scams and people placing multiply order (already some people placed 3-4 orders). I by any chance you get only one, please contact me. The promo works so well that it maybe possible to overlook that one.
