Cheap loose leaf tea heaven in the GTA

Ok, I have bought tea at several ethnic focused grocery stores near me several times before, some of them are very good ( including my favourite rose white tea thus far ( Big – Active) but the cold drew me into the Starsky’s at Winston Churchill and Dundas and Wow.

Lets begin

They carry the CJay teas that Whole Foods carry plus a couple other flavours.

They have some Rhino Teas( A Mississauga and I think Edmonton company that has really cute tins of Ceylon)

They have Yorkshire and Yorkshire gold loosesleaf for around the same price Metro charges for the bagged tea.

The have 25g boxes of Icewine, Maple and Blueberry teas.

They have Hyley’s teas including some really lovely duo and trio fruit blends, and boxed flavoured black and green teas that were under $2.00.

They had some Hedley teas.
A brand I forget the name of that I can get at TnT

They had the Big Active Teas I’ve liked before.
Lloyds Teas.

And Some Riston Teas which sound amazing but we’ll see. That doesn’t include the whole amazing selection of bagged teas, some from the brands above and also Dalfour and Twinnings.

I controlled myself but I got

Ristom Christmas Greetings Black Tea which comes in a music Box Tin and is a Hazelnut and Caramel flavour.

and a Berry Confiture Black Tea which is a strawberry, rose, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry and rhubarb blend.

Yorkshire Gold
and Hyley’s Emotions, tenderness (green tea coconut peaches and cream) and Love (raspberry, strawberry and cream) tin.

The looseleaf starts at about 1.70 and goes up to around 14.00 ( for Matcha)

Dangerous place for me. They also have Dutch Cocoa for hot chocolate. Hariboo Candy flavours I haven’t seen since Germany, Cola and Tangfastic, awesome vodka chocolates and amazing chocolates, marzipan and gingerbread…
