I think now all my profile pics from everything match up except maybe the google and facebook stuff. so steepster, myfitnesspal, runtastic and fitbit all have the same photo. So if you can’t find me, look for the pic :D

I’ve sent you a request! You’ve also encouraged me to start using the app properly again.

What do you do about adding teas to your diary? I’m never quite sure as the ones I drink are hardly ever in the system, and it’s a lot of effort to create 4 or 5 new entries in a day for something with little calories or fat.

Davids Tea has quite a few of theirs on there. For other teas I add the closest thing to what I’m drinking. I hope more tea companies will put theirs on though as it would make life easier :D

As of a couple of days ago, I now have a grand total of 1 David’s Tea, but at least it might be helpful for that one. I basically do that, too. It would be so helpful if they did that! And it might be worthwhile for them, too – surely it’s got to have some positive affect on sales/advising? Maybe?

I think teavana also has some of theirs listed. Starbucks definitely has the tazo stuff listed. Also some Stash teas as well.

I’ve just been through them and it looks like there’s actually a lot more than I thought! I’m finding it a lot easier.

Interesting. I tracked things pretty carefully on myfitnesspal about 2 years ago, and I just never put the tea on. I never even thought to look for it. I just figured most of the tea would have minimal calories as long as it was unsweetened and I wasn’t adding stuff to the tea. Maybe I wasn’t tracking as carefully as I could, but since I used it when I first stopped drinking soda, any type of brewed tea was a big improvement for me.

I was thinking along those lines, but now my tea drinking has grown exponentially, I feel like I should log it more carefully.

Even if it doesn’t count caloriewise, since my diary is public I like to show people what I’m drinking :D

Ooh I’d like to do that! How do you make it public?

on the app it’s in settings, once there it has one for diary sharing and I just hit public. I believe it’s somewhere in settings on the website as well but I mostly use the app on my tablet or smartphone.

I have been fairly active. A little disappointed because I haven’t been working out in awhile so I went from 130lbs to 144… BAD ME!!! oh well once the weather is nicer I know I will lose it. I also use Under Armour Record and I am considering a Garmin fitness device as the Garmin community is more active than say Fitbit…

Helena, the Garmin network is great. I have the VivoActive and love it for not needing a phone to track runs, bike rides, lap swimming, hikes, daily steps and daily sleep. It’s also cool to be able to discreetly screen texts or phone calls (or other notifications) with your phone on silent if you set it up that way.

I was looking at Vivoactive actually for Mom. Oh all right… me too. Smartwatches are awesome for checking texts, emails and stuff. I love my Moto 360 for that. I also use Under Armour Record to keep up with my friends and it connects to Garmin and MyFitnessPal as well. I may be trapped in a web of connection….

I decided I will go with the original Vivoactive. I’m going to pick it up after work. If you want to add me on Garmin Connect it’s Aedon2hg

request sent. (Seth) Hopefully I’ll be able to log something other than walking on there in the near future!

Haha, you’re not kidding about the web of connection. Pretty soon we’ll all have microchips in us that log all of that stuff along with automatically recording what tea we drank and logging it here!!!

You say that like it’s a bad thing… By the way the Vivoactive HR comes out in April. It has a better design and as the name indicates a built in heartrate monitor. I’m going to wait for it. It has a nice snazzy new look too.

I admit, 1984 really made an impression on me! And apparently Orwell was quite the tea drinker :-)
Good choice to wait for it. I’m gonna go check it out and see if DC Rainmaker has a review on it yet. Let me know how you like it once you get it. And Garmin really pushes you to integrate with MFP, too. Sadly, I’m injured all over the place right now, so I can only use mine as a watch and step/sleep tracker.

lost over two stone in one year & have gone from 25% body fat to 16% body fat, just by a change in diet.

Of course you can post about your weight status or workouts or whatever!! It’s all to help keep us all healthy and enjoy tea while we’re at it.

So I gained some weight over the winter and I’m finally losing it again only to have winter around the corner. I’m also playing Pokémon Go and Ingress. Lots of Fun!
