Check Out This Really Neat Tumbler That I Found

I was shopping around on the Tea Spot website (they are having a 25% off sale now through cyber monday, btw. use code earlysanta25) and I saw that they have a new tumbler design for sale.

I think I might just get it. I don’t have any travel tumblers and this one looks particularly convenient. I’m only a little worried that the plastic might absorb flavors and be hard to wash out. Anyone else have this? Any thoughts?

I like the steeping design but I will never buy a plastic tumbler again. My current double-wall plastic one permanently smells like Earl Grey. And even if I could wash it and get the scent out, that’s too high-maintenance for me for a travel tumbler. I want to rinse and go!

I was worried about that too. At first, I though the body, at least was glass. but its all BPA-free Tritan… almost perfect

Dinosara, have you tried brewing hot baking soda in your tumbler?

I have the Aladdin tumbler which is also plastic, so the next time I buy a travel brew tumbler it is going to be glass. This design looks pretty neat, but it is hard to get an idea on how well it works without playing with it. The lip on it is kinda trippy. I say buy it and give us a report!

I actually have the Aladdin tumbler and I’m sure I could get most of the smell out if I really tried, but I don’t want to have to wash it every time I use it. I haven’t tried the baking soda thing, thanks for the tip… Maybe I’ll try to “reset” it haha.

I also have the Aladdin tumbler and find that it holds on to scents. It also has kind of a hot plastic sort of smell, too, when I add hot water..

Why can’t design and quality materials go together into the same product? So frustrating. Oh well. I was almost so excited about getting my first to-go cup.

I haven’t noticed mine holding onto smells much. It smells a little like tea, but it isn’t over powering. Definitely haven’t had the hot plastic smell experience. Gross!

Has this tumbler been removed from the site? when I click on the link in your post, it just takes me to the list of teaware, and I can’t seem to find the tumbler.

I don’t see it either. Maybe it is out of stock?

huh, I dunno what happened to it. The link used to take you to the item, now I can’t find it on their website anywhere. The product is finum and may be sold by other retailers, I don’t know. Here is another link I found with info about the tumblers and that the Tea Spot is (supposed) to be selling them. http://www.prweb.com/releases/traveler-zita-finum/tea-tumbler/prweb11286936.htm

We sell a Glass Tea Tumbler if you are looking for a tumbler that doesn’t leach – check ours out at http://www.namubaru.com/product_p/55001.htm.

Yeah, that is the same glass tumbler that EVERYONE sells. And other vendors sell them individually, not by the dozen which means if I’m in the market for one it won’t be purchased from your company.
