And they’re up!

My wallet is crying but I am happy.

The code I got tonight wouldn’t work, but I had another languishing in my email box. And I had limited items so I didn’t want to try to fix it before the order. Ah well, I’ll get it fixed and use it next time.

Frolic select said

What did you get?

Sorry about that, Dinosara! Glad to hear you had another code you could use. I will make sure Kelsey helps me find out what I did backwards and send you a good code tomorrow morning.

I appreciate you working late getting these things together Lily!

I got reserve yabao and Tieguanyin, plus the bird gaiwan. Yay!

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but since Lily seems to be following this thread, I’ll take a chance it is OK.

There is a price conflict on the Verdant site. On the general oolong page, the Hand Picked Autumn Tieguanyin is listed as being $4.20 per ounce, while on the page of details for that particular tea it is given as $9.95 per oz. Perhaps Lily could clarify the actual price.

Thanks.

Best wishes,
sherubtse

P.S. Speaking of cats, I have a purring cat on my lap trying to help me type this post!

Thank you for spotting that, sherubtse! The $4.20 was a manual override we put in when very last of 2012’s later Autumn Harvest from the Bi Family was on seasonal clearance. The price you are seeing on the product page for Master Zhang’s fresh, new autumn harvest is the correct price, and reflects the time and labor that went into growing and producing his lovely tea.

My apologies for any confusion that caused while we were catching up on sleep Everything should be correct and matching now.

Thank you again for your help and support! Best wishes to you and your kitty assistant – wish we could bring the Tea Cats in with us to the tea house (but I know they’re happier curled up at home!).

All the best – Lily

Thanks for the response, Lily. Must say that I am very impressed with the customer service & support at Verdant! (And yes, kitty assistant is back on my lap.)

Best wishes,
sherubtse

Thank you so much for your kinds words, Sherubtse! We know that nothing we do would be possible without the tea lovers who drink and share our friends’ tea every day. We know it’s what Mr. and Mrs. He, Mrs. Li, Master Zhang, Master Han, and the Li Family in Wuyi would want for all of you if they could invite you into their homes and share their tea directly – we want to do our best to extend their generosity and hospitality.

Cheers to you and your kitty friend :)
All the best – Lily

Just in case Lily is still lurking.. a few days ago Verdant indicated the following:Yes! ……plus we’ll be adding new blends from our club and inspired by the holiday season on Black Friday

Are the new blends going to be for sale, or did you just mean pictures of the upcoming blend box that is going out lol Just trying to figure out if i need to hold on my order because other blends may be listed… (or i’m blind and just not seeing them)

Always lurking :) (love Steepster’s e-mail alerts)

We’re working on getting the blends up for sale by this afternoon. I will be sure to update here and in the Black Friday thread as soon as those are available (along with Facebook + Twitter!). CONFIRMED so far: Yu Lu Yan Chai and Elderberry Herbal from last month’s box. We’re also working on reblending Sichuan Caravan with Master Han’s 2004 Loose Leaf Shu pu’er (can’t wait to release that on Monday! drinking it right now) and the Winter blend of 8 Treasures Yabao.

Stay tuned for more info! We’ll also be releasing photos of the Blend Club’s holiday blends for December in the next few days :D

So glad I stayed up late to get my Laoshan Village Terroir Gift Set, they seem to be going very fast!

Yet another question, are the “tea cash” vouchers good through the end of January? I need to sell more stuff to be able to afford another order and that might be a while.

If you ever get the ability to combine codes that would be amazing, I do understand it might be very difficult. Well that and it’s probably in your best interest to have us make lots of orders!

Thank you, Frolic! Glad to see you were able to get the set you wanted :)

Yep – tea cash will be good all the way through January. We want to make sure people have time to reward themselves after all of the holidays are through. As for our cart, I know we have big plans in the works for new development on our website in 2014: we’ll see what we can do!

I really want to order new blends, at the same time im waiting for Mondays special on puerh. how limited is the stock on blends? would you recommend me to place an order now? if i do, can you combine with Mondays special? and should i use my rewards now or later? sorry if too many ??

Hi boychik – I do not think the blends will sell out before Pu’er Monday. However, we will be monitoring the stock closely all weekend, and I will be sure to post here in case anything starts to get too dangerously low.

If you did want to go ahead and make your order now and ended up placing another order on Monday, just write to us, and we can definitely combine the two orders and ship them together. Making your order all at once might also help you get to either of our two Tea Cash thresholds ($10 for orders $50+… $25 for orders $100+)

Best wishes! Lily

Hah, I was doing good at not ordering but the new blends and upcoming puerh Monday have me on the fence. Must wait!

Pu’er Monday should be so much fun! We’ve been sampling the newest pu’ers with folks at the tea house, and so far, everyone has been loving the newest additions from Master Han.

One thing to note: Master Han’s 2012 Sheng Pu’er has been going fast, both online and here in Minneapolis. When we left last night to finally get some sleep ( XD ), there were less than 10 bricks left! Hopefully, there will be a few left for Monday’s online Pu’er celebration, but there is a chance the supply won’t make it all the way through the weekend…

There is some confusion for me re the price of Master Han’s 2012 Sheng Pu’er. On the general pu’er page, it is listed as 1 oz. for $7.95. Yet on the details page, it is given as 250 g. for $25. Unless my math is way off (a distinct possibility, mind you) these 2 sets of numbers don’t jive.

As this product has caught my eye, could someone please check on this for me?

Thanks.

Best wishes,
sherubtse

Great catch, sherubtse! You found the ghost of another tea-price populating in the wrong field: I’m very surprised none of us ever noticed that one before! I’ve made a quick change (though now it looks like 1oz is $25) – we’ll make sure to get that grammar corrected as soon as we can.

The truth is, we do not offer a 1oz size of Master Han’s 2012 Sheng Pu’er: just a 7g sample or the entire 250g brick at $25. That is why the price you were seeing on the preview/category-page did not match up.

Thank you so much for you help in catching that and letting us know!

Looks like one Laoshan Village Terroir Gift Set popped up. It seemed like it was out of stock for a few hours so I thought I’d give people here who may have thought they missed it a heads up.

Thank you, Frolic! Yes – I just checked our stock and website and realized that there was one set left that the system wanted to keep to itself (who knew websites craved Laoshan Black?). One more gift set left! :D

On behalf of everyone whop has posted in this thread, I wish to offer my sincerest thanks to Lily for keeping on top of things, and dealing with everyone’s questions & concerns.

Although I will speak up regarding shoddy customer service, I equally praise exceptional customer service. And I think that Lily has shown great skill in that regard. It is no wonder that Verdant has such a loyal fan base!

Best wishes,
sherubtse

I concur. Verdant is one my favorite companies for this reason amongst others. There is a fan club thread around somewhere!

Thirded!

Thank you so much Lilly for your wonderful service. That coupled with the wonderful quality of your tea makes me a loyal customer.

Wow – thank you so much, everyone! It’s always a pleasure to share all we can and to get to talk with tea lovers. That’s truly been one of the greatest joys of opening our new teahouse: getting to talk to folks face to face and share tea every day in person. I wish we could do the same with everyone here and all of our customers around the world! Luckily, talking with folks on Steepster and via e-mail helps us come a little closer. :)
