Where can I buy a nice tea cabinet?

I’m looking to buy a nice free standing tea cabinet that won’t go in the kitchen – a nicer looking one (you know, not one of those with the cardboard backing) but for a decent price. I have no idea where to buy a cabinet that is decent quality but decent prices. Please help!

I’m also looking for bigger empty tins that will fit a bunch of tea sample baggies, if you know where those are sold (like the big Teavana tins that hold a large amount of tea but not Teavana!)

These are great – the company just sent me a selection of their smaller tins for a recent blog post, but they carry larger sizes (and all kinds of different shapes) too:

Nice! However, I just saw tins Harney has, and I really like those. Does anyone have the dimensions of the eight ounce?

Maybe look at Wicker Emporium and places like that? They can be outrageously expensive but also do a lot of sales I find.

You may want to keep abreast on estate sales in your area—that seems like a good way to possibly find something very high quality but affordable cabinet-wise.

I second what ifjuly said. Estate sales are great to find this sort of thing and even garage sales or thrift stores can be worth a look. (When the weather gets nicer of course.) I found a beautiful lighted curio cabinet at a garage sale for $15 with a three pane glassed front and a cabinet underneath. I was just missing the glass shelves which were easy enough to replace.
Though I think I might’ve just gotten lucky ‘cause I’ve never seen anything as nice ever since. So maybe Estate sales or thrift stores would be your best bet. Lol.

I wish I could ever even find an estate sale. Once or twice a year there is a large-ish one a little ways away but it is such a large event that it’s not really a deal.

I custom ordered a nice cabinet from a craftsperson on etsy. It may not be as elaborate as the old antiques, but it fit perfectly in a space in my kitchen. Even with shipping it was a reasonable price and he worked with me to customize it with the shelves I wanted (some open, some behind a cabinet door).

Cost Plus World Market when they are having a sale or you have a coupon? Craigslist? Antique shops?
I wish I had room to add one to my house!

We got one at the Salvation Army. I would also say go look at other thrift shops in your area. (I prefer the Salvation Army over others though).

And for Estate sales. Sometimes you get lucky…. and sometimes it’s just a bunch of weird stuff. But here is a good place to start http://www.estatesales.net/
My husband and I have found lots of stuff through Estate sales. Don’t be afraid to talk people down in price too ^_-

I found this one that I’ve been thinking about buying, just wish I could see it in person http://www.target.com/p/threshold-windham-accent-cabinet/-/A-14395597#prodSlot=medium_1_11&term=threshold+cabinet
