There are several ways to do iced tea and my advice to you is just to try it and see what you like. Experiment.

Iced tea – brew tea extra strong, ie. twice amount of tea per water, then dilute with water and chill.

Cold brew – put tea into cold water and put in fridge for 12-24 hours.

Try different types of herbals and teas to see what you like.

Awesome! I’m excited to try these!

What’s your advice for brewing it in a fridge. Do I use a massive infuser in a pitcher? Or do I just brew it in a small teapot? I sort of like to drink Iced tea in large quantities.

Again, it is whatever you like.

I brew in a 64 oz infuser pitcher, with a removable infuser (like a takeya pitcher). But I will sometimes use an old pickle jar, or something like that, and throw in a few tsp of tea and just strain it out after. Or you can just do one cup at a time. It really doesn’t matter, you just need to figure out your proportion of tea to water.

I usually cold brew hibiscus-y fruity herbals. 1 tbsp per 16oz water overnight to make a bit of a concentrate. I can then pour it over ice or dilute with a bit of water. I usually use an infuser in a canning jar. :) I’d love to get a pitcher with an infuser, but I haven’t found one I love yet.

I recommend trying Southern Boy Teas from 52Teas. There are some really delicious flavors. I usually cold-brew the bag first in a half gallon pitcher, and then I save the pouch for hot-brewing a second half gallon later. I usually get a gallon of iced tea from each pouch, although there are a few of the teas that taste better hot brewed, and those I only get a half gallon out of … but usually, they are so tasty that it’s worth it to me.
