Advice recs. on new white teas to try
So I am really low on white teas and would like to know what different people think are really good ones that are hopefully not too expensive.
Things I don’t like melon,really spicy ,blackberries,heavy hibiscus,black currants,coconut,cherry,plum,perfumey teas with too much flowers,
Precious White Peach from Teavana is a really good one I think…
Honey Vanilla and Silver Needle whites from LeafSpa. It’s great when you want a flavored white or an unflavored white- for a dessert tea, or a non dessert tea. All of Adagio’s whites I’ve found to be very good so I suggest getting both their unflavored and flavored samplers. I have not tried any of them yet- but you should hit up Upton Tea Imports for their samples. At that price you can’t go wrong:)
If you also like black tea you should really try today’s steepster select:)
Honey vanilla white confirmed AMAZING cold.
The Honey Vanilla is awesome cold brewed. !!!
I just did it hot brewed in just enough water to cover the leaves then added cold water- but yeah it is awesome.
Thanks everyone so for for the recs and taking the time I will keep them in mind.
honeydew from teas etc
oopse you DON’t like melons, never mind!
i don’t see adagio’s silver needle among your tea ratings. i love that one…
I know you don’t like overly floral teas, but their Jasmine Silver Needle is good. I suggest 1 min @ 160 degrees instead of the 7 @ 180 that they suggest. That should give you a cuppa more favorable to your tastes. You could also blend it w/ a plain Silver Needle.
+1 for Adagio’s Silver Needle… good stuff.
Check this out! It’s the top rated WHITE ONLY ones on Steepster…
I really like this…and…you know I’m not overly fond of Jasmine…so…there isn’t much in this imho
I really like the champagne infused ones Compass offers, too…
Thanks everyone as for adagio well I use paypal or money orders and they do not accept those so I would have to get theirs from a friend or a swap. Thanks so much for the ideas.
idk if it’s better for you but you can get their teas via amazon too. still no paypal but you got more payment options there…
