from looseTman: DigniTea, “What do you think of the list?”

I think that I am always looking for teas I’ve not yet tried and I am always interested in the opinions/ideas/experiences of others in this world of tea. Individual tea likes and dislikes vary. (In fact one individual’s likes and dislikes vary over time; mine certainly do!)

There is not one final list of best teas which would be good for all but I sure do enjoy hearing what others think. In addition I am very interested in knowing about teas grown in different countries. I like to sample across the nations and am excited when I have an opportunity to learn of a new-to-me tea from another location. I think this list tried to mention teas from around the world.

It is in this spirit that I shared the list. As is true in politics and religion, no one person or group has “THE” correct answer but sometimes it’s fun to talk about it and try to learn more.

I happen to think that Golden Moon’s Sinharaja is very interesting and enjoyable. I am also a fan of Teas etc. Golden Monkey even though it is not necessarily a popular one for most Steepsterites. Teavivre’s Dian Hong is good but I’ve had other Dian Hong’s that I think are equally good. Your opinion may differ quite a bit but that’s one of the things I love about tea – so many choices and the search for those we enjoy is so much fun. Happy cups to all!

+1 However, Gayot’s title “World’s top 10 teas” gives that impression.

I too am a fan of Teas Etc. Golden Monkey http://steepster.com/looseTman/posts/165038

Pretty lame list and calling it “the world’s” best is laughable (though I did enjoy Golden Moon Sinharaja and I’ve heard good things about Tea Vivre) – but then just about everything about Fox News is lame.

I found it funny that though they spent the time to put all the different teas from so many different places, and flavor profiles that somehow PG tips made number 6? Was there a couple minutes that the authors kid had a chance at the computer too?? Might as well through Lipton and Great Value on there. That one caught me a bit off guard, lol.
