Can you identify this teapot?

I picked this up at a local flea market and it works very well and I can’t find anything online that looks similar. It pours great and the spout strainer works well. The teapot is fairly large, holds about 3 cups. There are no markings on the bottom. I thought at first it was ceramic but now I am thinking stoneware?

Can anybody tell me anything about this? thanks.

I’d guess it’s the work of a local potter, probably stoneware. Nice find!

that was my first thought when I saw it—if so, seems pretty well made!

Really neat find. I love finding handmade stuff like that. It’s definately something local made. Probly in someone’s ceramic class. The way the bottom is cut and the handle was made is a pretty standard technique shown in class. I remember learning it, though I never got the hang of pulling handles for my stuff. So I had alot a bowls. Lol.
