DavidsTEA tea infused chocolate

Has anyone else tried them? They’re amazingly good. Insanely good. They’re “I want this in my cupboard FOREVER” good. I bought one bar of each kind, and so far I’ve had a square of the white chocolate with Matcha Matsu, the milk chocolate with Coco Chai Rooibos, and the dark chocolate with Cream of Earl Grey. Tomorrow I’ll try the dark chocolate with Hot Lips.
I’m contemplating making a stupidly huge order online and hoarding them for as long as I can.

Anyone else tried them? :) Any favorites?

Thank you for posting this!! I’ve been looking at them online and they look surprisingly yummy especially the Matcha Matsu

They’re incredible! I was expecting it to be chocolate with a hint of tea taste, but you actually taste them each about 50/50. The tea is VERY potent, but you still definitely taste chocolate. Of the three I’ve tried, I liked Matcha Matsu and Cream of Earl Grey equally for first. The Coco Chai Rooibos was so good too though that I’m considering giving that tea a go now, haha.

If you’re at all intrigued, definitely go for it. It was WAY above my expectations. :)

… I couldn’t resist curiosity, so I gave the Hot Lips chocolate a go as well. I can definitely say that one is my least favorite. It’s yummy, and I can definitely go through the bar no problem, but I wouldn’t bother buying it a second time.
Especially in comparison to how much better the other three are. :)

I’m thinking of getting the matcha white chocolate, even though it has loads of dairy… :)

Chizakura said

I know, same here. xD I feel bad for grabbing both the white chocolate and milk chocolate, meanwhile I won’t grab a flavored/blended tea that contains a bit of dairy. It’s so good though. I’m thinking I might buy some of Red Leaf’s White Chocolate matcha so I can keep having the flavor without the dairy. xD

It is possible to make your own dairy free white chocolate with cocoa butter and coconut oil.. that might be an option. I’m just too lazy to do that. :)

Hmm. Would buying these count against my tea budget?

Dustin said

Nope, goes against your chocolate budget. You do have a chocolate budget, don’t you? ;)

are these chocolates going to only be available for like a few days? Or are they around to stay for a while? does anyone know?

That’s what I like to know as well

I asked the girls at the store when I was there, and they seemed pretty sure that it was a limited thing, but they figured it’d probably be something around for a little while. They didn’t have all the information yet themselves, though.

I whimpered on DT’s Facebook page with my hopes that it’d be a permanent item, xD Haha.

My local store was doing a tasting for the staff, and the manager said that right now they’re charging full price to staff (no staff discount) to get an accurate representation of the sales before they decide whether to keep them as a permanent item or not. So I guess it’s undecided right now.

Oh awesome!! I WILL place that big order then :D Anything to encourage them to keep it!

Speaking of tea infused chocolates, have you guys ever had Green Tea Kit-Kat? They’re my absolute FAVOURITES but apparently you can only get them in Japan. Well, that’s what my mother’s co-worker told me and I’ve never seen them in stores in the US so I kinda just believed her.

And because of my love for that chocolate, ordering the Matcha chocolate from David’s was a no brainer! Placed the order last week and it should be in my lovely arms in the next couple days!

Wow, I’ve never heard of green tea Kit-Kats! That’s awesome, haha :)

I find green tea infused food in general tend to be really great. Like matcha infused cakes and such.
