DAVIDsTEA - Spring Collection?

Oh, man, I just made my David’s pilgrimage, and I have some thoughts.
It’s taken me over an hour and a half to get home, so now I’m really excited to share.

They had samples of the Cool Cucumber and the Peaches and Cream. I tried the Peaches and Cream first, and I hated it. I love the taste of peach, so I was surprised how adverse I was to it. I tasted no peach, and the tea had this weird aftertaste that was thick and unpleasant. Maybe other people will like it. I don’t want to turn anyone off, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Now, the cucumber is a whole different story. I LOVED it. I went in only to buy a few grams to try, but once I tried it, I knew I had to have it. It’s light and weird and wonderful. It tastes like cucumbers. I get almost no melon, which is ideal for me. With that said, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for anyone else. I am unusually fond of the taste of cucumbers (I love anything that tastes strongly of them) so this really suits me. The sales person said it was her favorite too, though, if that’s worth anything. It’s also going to be explosively good iced. I’d say it’s probably one of those teas that is better suited for being an iced tea. I had to make a pot as soon as I got home (sleep be damned!) and it’s as good when I brewed it at home as it was in the store. I may save half this pot and throw it in the fridge over night, just to get a contrast. I may not have the discipline. I ended up buying a full 100 grams.

The teaware is even cuter in person than online. I like the nordic mugs the best, especially the octopus one. I really don’t need any more teaware, though, and had no problems passing it up.

My teas came in the mail!! They smell so good and the timolinos are so beautiful!
