Adagio Fandom Samplers on Sale! /sputters/
Wow. That…..really kinda sucks actually. I mean, it’s nice because it’s a lower price overall, but it sucks that they didn’t release the larger samplers again for the people who wanted to try more of that blender’s teas. Or at least gave the option. /grumps/ Not to mention that some of the teas I wanted to try from the Teen Wolf & Pokemon sets aren’t there now. /mourns/ Lol.
At least I got the complete Nightvale sampler before it got cut in half.
They also haven’t changed the intro text for the samplers to say there’s only 6 tins of tea now. Lol. (Still says 10.)
I got a full Firefly set – thank gods – but I’m really bummed that they don’t have the option for full sets at the higher price. :/
This is the comment I can most get behind. I’m glad I grabbed as many of the samplers as I did (though they ran out of the HP one and refunded me instead grump).
I love the sample tins and sizes, and the fact that I could grab so many at once to figure out if I liked someone’s blends. 3oz of tea is hard to get behind on the hope it’ll be good.
Yeah – you basically summed up how I felt. The cheaper price is nice, but what if the teas I want aren’t in the pack now?
They aren’t updating the UK site, so I still have the full sets of 10. I was preparing myself for jealousy, but… Relief instead! So glad they haven’t gotten rid of half of the samples on our site yet! Although the prices are much better.

I wish they would! I’m trying to organise a group run from the US site for some friends who want fandom teas that aren’t part of the samplers (and I’ll probably stock up on a few things while I’m at it) because OH MAN is $40something a lot for shipping on an order of tea.

Ugh I know! I hate how limited the entire UK site is, the fact that we have the old fandom samplers is the first good thing ever to happen for UK steepsterites! I pined over the Sherlock and Doctor Who teas for over two years before they brought any out over here! I guess I’m well adjusted to waiting :/
Heck yeah! Message me if there’s anything you’ve got your eye on – I need a few more things in the order to make it worth doing, so yeah.
And yeah, I’m supposing that the bulk of their sales go through the US site so it’s probably not worth their doing everything through the UK site, but it’s still a hassle.
(And yes, I have had to suck it up and pay the $40something shipping on an order not long ago – and the $30something when I was living in Canada. I may have filled one of my suitcases entirely with tea when I moved)

I’ve never had enough tea to justify paying the shipping. I used to add everything I wanted to my basket just to see how much it would be, and to make it worthwhile (in my mind) I was thinking of spending $300+
So hey people who missed out on something. I called the Adagio by me and they have some of the fandom samplers! The full 10 tin set ones. If anyone is interested, I’m willing to make the drive there and pick any up that people are interested in, then ship it to you. You’d just paypal me the money after I pick them up. I don’t think they’re on sale at the store (I forgot to ask), but at least they still have them.
The ones they have are Pokemon, Steeping Bad, Tales and Tea Leaves, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Game of Thrones & Harry Potter Potions.
At the moment, I’ll only be able to do this today, and soonish. So let me know here.
I would definitely be interested in a Doctor Who one. If the Harry Potter one is by Cara McGee and not the potions sampler, I’d also be interested in that too. I’ve also followed you so feel free to pm me. Thanks in advance for doing this!
I don’t believe that Cara rereleased her Harry Potter teas yet due to the copyright issue that had Adagio pull them in the first place. So I believe the HP sampler would be for the Potions one.
Also, as of right now I’m unable to get out there today so I’ll most likely be making the drive out there on Saturday, so I’ll keep requests open until then. I’m going to give them another call and see if they’re on sale or not too.
If they’re on sale I would love the Game of Thrones and Harry Potter samplers, but I’ll probably hold off if they’re not. Thanks so much for the offer, though!

Does your offer of buying and shipping Adagio Fandom Sampler Sets still stand? I’ve only recently come across their UK website and instantly fell in sweet sweet love with the Sherlock Sampler Set. Sadly the website won’t clear my credit card. Since Easter both I and Adagio tried to find the problem to no avail. So I would be eternally grateful if your offer still stands >.<

No. Sorry. That was only for when my local Adagio still had the 10 tin sampler sets a few months ago and for people in the US.
Argh dang it! Even if it would be enough if you just ordered it on the UK website online and would have it send to me? I know it’s a weird request, but since I am so desperate I’m willing to do almost anything to get those tins >.< I’d pay you via paypal in advance and give you a gift certificate number Adagio sent me so you’d have to pay nothing at all. Sadly I am at my wits’ end. All I need is someone whose credit card will be accepted. Sadly it just won’t work in Germany T^T
