Thinking of getting the new carry Mug from David's tea
Day one of my test drive of the new carry mug! I would write a proper tasting note for it, although I’d rather do that once I’ve tried it for a few weeks.
So far, I’m really, really loving the mesh lid for drinking out of, It simulates drinking out of an ordinary mug so much better than the timolino. I will say, however, that it’s large size does make it bit more awkward to hold than the small timolino, so for those of us with smallish hands, it’s something to keep in mind, although so far hasn’t been a real deterrent. I also really like the handle, because it makes twisting off the top lid much easier, whereas with the timolino, you had to use the flat of your palm to try and twist the lid off—certainly not a massive issue or anything, but worth mentioning. I also got a few drops of scalding hot water on my hand this morning, although that may have been because of my awkward method of getting water into the mug, and not because of the mug itself.

I was looking at them on the weekend and I love the feel of the new finish on them. My boyfriend was not particularly impressed; he thought it was the same as my old ones except with a handle. :P (To be fair, that’s what I thought when I first heard about them, but when you actually pick it up and look at it, it’s very nice).

It really is very nice, and different enough from the timolino that I can totally see why you might prefer one over the other for different reasons.
