Lupicia WILL ship to Canada

Hey Guys!
I know some of you have joined me in bemoaning the fact that Lupicia does not ship to Canada and I figured you might be happy to hear that they will!

I emailed them to see if they’d ever consider opening shipping up internationally and this was my reply:

“Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. We are able to ship to Canada via USPS. However shipping charge is not calculated at the time of checkout. Once your order is placed we will calculate the shipping fee then contact you and let you know the amount. Once you agree to the shipping fee we will rebill your credit card and ship out your order. Thank you for choosing LUPICIA Fresh Tea.

Not sure if this was actually always an option, but because it’s not explicitly stated, I thought I’d share this hear. Your wallets may not thank me. /0\

That’s great news! Canadians deserve Lupicia teas!!!

I just hope that the USPS charges they come up with won’t ever be too ghastly. And I guess you guys can always try to combine orders with others so it pays off more :)

A friend and I were both going to order a bunch and then split them. She ordered 10 – 50g packages and was quoted 17.50 shipping, I ordered 11 – 50g packages and was quoted 19.50.
She has paid shipping and has gotten shipping confirmation – I just got my shipping quote and am waiting for a Paypal invoice so that I can pay it….
Little expensive but not as bad as I had feared.

Follow up to my Lucipia ordering experience.
I placed an order approx 2 PM Monday 14Apr.
Added a short note in the comments field about having been informed that they would ship to Canada, and that I was requesting a shipping quote.
Checked out using Paypal
Immediately got the confirmation emails that order had been placed, payment through Paypal.
About 5 PM Tuesday I got an email stating:
“Hello,

We have received your order and calculated your shipping charge. The shipping for this order is $19.50. If you agree to pay this charge we will send you a money request via paypal. Once you respond to that request we will ship out your order. Thank you for choosing LUPICIA Fresh Tea.

I replied to this email about 6 PM Tuesday – saying that I will pay the 19.50 shipping, please forward me a Paypal invoice to pay.
This morning about 9AM I received a Paypal invoice – which I promptly paid and sent them an email indicting that I received the invoice and had paid it.
This afternoon about 1PM I received an email indicating that my order had shipped.

All in all, this was pretty smooth, but certainly not as quick as the small independent vendors. The emails were all either very scripted or just auto generated. I think I am getting spoiled by the personal touches so many smaller companies provide.
That’s how it went down for me, if anyone is contemplating doing an order.

Thanks for the update! :D It’s more than I’d like to pay but it’s also MUCH BETTER than not having any options at all.

I agree that the shipping isn’t great. I ordered 11 – 50g packages shipping 19.50. A friend ordered 10 – 50g packages shipping was 17.50.
I’ve paid 15-17.00 shipping in the past, and this was quite a bit of tea – but this is right on the verge of what I think is reasonable shipping. It is MUCH better than the 30-40.00 shipping that some companies try to charge.
