Any good pear flavored teas?

Some reason I want to try a pear flavored tea. I am wondering if anyone makes a good loose leaf pear tea? Ideally an oolong or white tea.

I think our Ramona’s Spiced Pear Bai Mu Dan is awesome: http://www.52teas.com/2010/02/24/ramonas-spiced-pear-bai-mu-dan/

Do you do samples? I am not sure about the spices in it but would love to try a cup before buying quantity.

Sorry, I’m afraid we do not. You can read some reviews here: http://steepster.com/teas/52teas/10147-ramonas-spiced-pear-bai-mu-dan

I have not tried it, but if you like organic teas who’s proceeds go to good causes, check this out http://www.artoftea.com/catalog/green-pear-specialty-p-252.html

Adagio’s white pear can be good if you get the steeping parameters right, but it’s tricky. I wish I could find a white caramel spice pear tea.

Den’s Iced pear tea is very good. It isn’t a white tea, but the green tea flavor is not overpowering, it simply combines with the pear very well (the pear is definitely the dominant flavor).

I really like pear, so eventually I’d like to try some others as well. Currently on my shopping list is Caramilized Pear (by Art of Tea) – that has really good reviews here on Steepster, but I’ve never tried it myself:

I didn’t get too much pear from the Den’s version, but I think it’s just because I don’t like cold brewed teas. I wonder what would happen if I tried to hot steep it?

I have to say +1 on anything from Den’s.

It works to hot steep it; if you have some you might as well try it. I liked the way it tasted, but thought it better cold (personally).

Then maybe steep it hot then chill it? I’ll try both ways and report back:)

Sounds good! I haven’t tried steeping it hot then chilling it, sounds like a good idea. (Like I said, I’ve steeped it and drunk it hot, or steeped/drunk cold).

I’ve heard awesome things about Art of Tea’s Caramelized Pear:

This one is really good! I’m not a huge pear fan, but this one taste just like a carmaelized pear…doesn’t taste fake at all and is true to it’s name. ;-)

I like Leland’s pear caramel. http://steepster.com/teas/leland-tea-co/4892-pear-caramel

In fact next time I go to San Francisco I need to get some more.

The Art of Tea Carmelized Pear was good. Although I haven’t tried it, I bet the green tea version would be better than the rooibos version. LeafSpa has an apple-pear green tea that was nice iced but the pear flavor was not as strong as the Art of Tea’s version.
