It seems like the spamming is getting more and more frequent – maybe it’s like Pacific Rim’s kaiju attacks, lol.

Should we send mecha after them?

Oh wow not only do they make fake teas and tea companies and tasting notes, but they include steeping parameters and flavor profiles! Crazy. And this sounds nasty
“Flavors: Absinthe, Alcohol, Almond, Apple, Apple Candy, Apple Skins, Apricot, Artificial, Ash, Asparagus, Autumn Leaf Pile”

It seems like alot of effort just to spam a site. It also makes me think that it’s a real person(s) making all this spam since I don’t think a bot could select flavors, though all it’s essentially doing is typing ‘A’ then selecting everthing that follows. I’m not up on how advanced spam bots are, so maybe they can do that. Lol!
I would think that a spammer would also just go away after awhile after being deleted so many times, but that might just be wishful thinking.

My thoughts exactly. I know that bots can do a lot, but, like you, I really dont think it would be easy to program a bot to create an account, upload a photo, add a description, add multiple teas under new tea companies, add pictures and descriptions to that, and add tasting notes, including using sliders and numerical values to the perimeters and adding flavor notes, and post discussions post. Even if it is possible, it would have to be a bot that was specifically created and modified for this site, and would be only useful for this site. Which still seems like way too much work to spam a little ol’ tea community.

All their teas taste like the alphabet of flavours? Begone foul spam clyons!
