Lovely! I am a big fan of their teawares. They have some unique items I haven’t really seen elsewhere.

Are you, now sarsy? You, a fan of teaware? Hmmmm, I would have never guessed…

Blodeuyn, those are so classy and elegant!

Well pffft to you, my little tea fairy. :p

I think I may have found THE most lust-worthy teapot in all the land. There’s no chance in hell that I could ever afford this, but it’s truly a thing of beauty and I want it SO BAD. Be sure to check out the very last pic. Mindblowing!

That is freaking cool and gorgeous, but yah, too pricey for me. :(

If I win the lottery, the first thing I will buy is an island. The second thing I will buy is this teapot!

Make sure it is an island in a tea growing region. :D

SarsyPie said

You’re a genius. I am modifying my lottery wish list!

That is impressive in the extreme.

It’s a beauty sarsy.

I just ordered a small piece of teaware from dragon tea house. I decided I needed a new cha hai so I ordered this glass cha hai. I couldn’t find a yixing cha hai in the right size for a decent price. While I was at it I ordered their Premium Bai Lin Gong Fu black as well.

For some reason the first time I put in the link the computer didn’t make it executable.

I like the handle.

Oh that’s lovely :)

It was love at first sight mj, could not resist!

SarsyPie said

This is my impression of you trying to resist:

TTF – “Oh no, I shouldn’t!”
10 seconds pass
TTF – “Oh, OK!!!!”

LOL <3

So much truth!!!

SarsyPie said

I know what it looks like, because I am guilty of the exact same thing! LOL!!!!

And that 10 second delay is even shrinking…is it not sarsy?

SarsyPie said

Well yeah… 10 seconds is a pretty generous number :P

mj said

I may have also bought more teaware yesterday….

boychik said

I love this pot a lot TTF. hope its not my fault :-)

Mj, I want a FULL report please. Links and details.

Boychik. Totally your fault. And I love you for that ;-)

Well, it’s slightly ridiculous. This purchase happened because I had a gongfu session with my friends Joe and Sam, which was my first non-solo session and their first ever session! It was fun and they really liked it :), but I did not have the right teaware so it wasn’t as awesome as it could have been. So I bought a 200mL gongfu (the one I have now is a wee 100mL):
http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6185431666.html
A bigger chai hai:
http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6185431669.html
And more of those double walled cups:
http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6185431670.html
And yes, it is literally exactly the same stuff I already have or is on the way, but bigger. But it was so cheap! So now I will have a gongfu for one set and a tea party set :) And it all matches. Plus that tray is coming too so I can seem like I have some class :-P

boychik said

TTF, the pots are fraternal twins. too bad they can only have virtual bday parties.

mj, that glass gongfu teaware is awesome. I have couple of those pots. so nice and easy.

Mj, you’re gonna have wonderful gongfu parties with those :-)

Ugh, this sea urchin and sea horse pot and cups are just too gorgeous. I just can’t stop lusting after delicate, impractical, all white tea sets.

OMG. If I ever win the lottery my actions will be these: 1. quit job 2. buy a vat of Rivendell from Whispering Pins 3. Buy this tea set

I should close my mouth. I’m sitting here gape-jawed, catching flies

The jade teacups at the bottom of this page
http://www.jadescha.com/tea-accessories.html#%21l=0&p=3

Another Montreal company! I’ve never heard of this company but they seem to have pu-ehr and green teas as their focus.

SarsyPie said

Beautiful!

Oops, I realise that the link to the third page didn’t really work properly. I made you do some work;).

Here’s one of the cups
http://www.jadescha.com/ajax/index/options/product_id/61/

They have some yixing as well.

Those are beautiful but they aren’t jade unfortunately. They are onyx. You can Google Afghan onyx for more images (I buy a lot of lapidary supply for jewelry making). I’d be a bit scared to put hot water in them. I’ve got some bowls and vases made from this stone and love them.

yyz said

Good to know. They are pretty though. I went to a bead and stone wholesaler when I was in Jaipur and they had several small beautiful carved cups in various types of what is probably onyx as well. They mostly were used with sauces and some were used with Green Teas. Its true that a lot of stone is mispresented or interpreted. The amount of sca!ms I learned about while there in both the tourist and wholesale trade was mind-blowing. They had to bring in police from another part of India to attempt to clear some of it up. On the other hand I did see some beautiful pieces. A friend of one of my friends made this incredible ring cut from Lapis and then inlaid with metals and other semi.-precious stones for the Italian market. I loved some of the beautiful dimple well cut cabauchons as well.

They are very lovely indeed. :) Yah, same thing happens in the jewelry business. Turquoise that is really imitation, same thing with amber and other stones. Sometimes though you just have to buy that beautiful piece anyway! :)

yyz said

That’s true, as long as you are really aware of what you’re getting. A lot probably the majority of Turquoise and Lapis dyed. And you probably know all about the lab created or altered precious and semiprecious stones.

Those are lovely cups indeed! I bought one green tea Nanshan Shoumei and one black tea Jin Jun Mei from JADEsCHA in Mont Royal Street Sale event this June, the owner is a young girl very passionate about pure tea, besides on site tea tasting, she also demonstrated gongfu tea ceremony with her beautiful tea accessories, and that green tea is fantastic!

LOL Sarsonator, you have ALL THE TEAPOTS!

SarsyPie said

Pffftt. I only have 3 yixings and 2 glazed, so there! I have lots of gaiwans, tho :)
