"V8 Fusion + Tea" ?! - Free Samples
to get a free sample (12 oz bottle) go to
http://www.facebook.com/V8VFusion and click the Samples tab.
Looks like they give out a limited number every week, and it resets on Monday.
Flavors are:
Pomegranate Green Tea
Pineapple Mango Green Tea
Raspberry Green Tea
but you don’t get to choose which flavor you get a sample of. It says it’s for their facebook fans, but I was able to fill in the form without “Liking” their page and it worked fine.
Their status as of an hr ago: Whoa, you guys are so fast! We are already out of our early bird samples. Sorry to those who missed it but please come back again at noon eastern time today for your next chance. Not sure what time zone they’re in, so it may be anywhere between 11-2 CST. I’m and DEFINITELY hunting this down in the store.

While I sometimes drink V8 Fusion (which is mostly fruit juice) I still associate “V-8” with veggies. So veggies + tea sounds gross at first glance. That being said, I did sign up for a sample because curiosity got the better of me.
Since it’s 1 serving each of fruits and veggies, shouldn’t it be equal? Or do you just mean that the flavor is mainly fruit rather than equal or mostly veggies? Cuz that I’d agree w/:) Theoretically isn’t tea a veggie since it’s a plant? I just found out watermelon is actually a veggie. And tomatoes are, of course, a fruit.
Seedless watermelon might count as a veggie since it doesn’t have seeds inside which is the main difference between fruits and veggies. Jalepenos and other peppers are fruits too.
I think tea would count as an herb though since you only use the leaf. I wonder what a camelia sinesis fruit would look like? After the flowers bloom, what do the seeds grow in? A seed pod, or a fruit, or something else?
I just meant that the flavor profile of V8 Fusion is more fruity, whereas regular V8 tastes like veggies.
Jenncha-cha- the article I found (and my grandmother who worked in the Ready To Eat/Produce dept of a grocery store for 20 yrs knew this as well) didn’t distinguish between seeded and seedless. It’s related to cucumber and squash. I know for sure cucumbers have seeds, not sure about squash. So is lettuce an herb…? Ok we are analyzing/rationalizing this way too much lol.
Jenn-cha: I’m pretty sure that’s not the distinction because… strawberries are fruits.
I’m caught between “ugh a whole month til I get it” and “I’ll probably forget by then so it’ll be a surprise! lol”
