How do you heat your water??

I heat my tea in a regular cooking pot and then throw it in a mug or in my infuser. I don’t worry too much about temperature.

I have this awesome Breville (820XL) with presets for each type of tea. You simply select the tea type and press “go.” It notes the designated temperature as well so if you want to be more gentle with your oolongs, you can just select the lower temperature you need.

I was covetting this massively before I found the PINO and the new Breville Automatica Tea Maker. it’s a good thing that I’m not as impulsive with my teaware purchases as I am my tea since I keep finding something better.

Breville seems to be the Apple of tea gadgets- regardless of how long you wait, they keep coming out with something even better just a few weeks after you finally make a purchase

And they’re apparently gonna come out w/ this awesome milk frother for chais sometime before Christmas! Oh and that kettle was the give away they did for MasterChef last week:)

Works really well in my opinion. It has different settings for different teas. A little light that tells you when its done and it boils water pretty darn quickly!

see i have a sensitive mouth when it comes to heat so i either i boil my water in a tea kettle or pot(either way) then i wait till it cools to a temp so that i may sip or drink it. i have when sic or lazy used a microwave to heat my water quick (did i just say that :O) lol

Azure Luna, my apologies if it sounds like I’m telling you how to make your tea, but you may get better tasting tea if you heat the water for the proper temp for the tea (boiling for most blacks, etc) and then after steeping and decanting wating for the tea to cool before drinking rather than cooling the water 1st. Just a suggestion:)

yes it did come off that way sweety i know there are proper ways but it’s ok i like them how i can can get them and if i am sick i’m sure i don’t want to wait around to check time and boil temps when i’m under the weather :)

Well, of course. I have certain teas I drink when I’m sick just because they’re easier to make. And then there’s always matcha. :)

i haven’t tried matcha just yet I’m a little nervous but i am reading the reviews before choosing one to order i have not seen any where i live
