Favourite Autumn teas?

It’s nearly the best season. Do you have a favourite unflavoured tea you like to drink this time of year? Or a non ‘traditional fall’ blend you like?

My new faves are North Winds from Whispering Pines, Yun Nan Dian Hong- Golden Tips from Teavivre, and Special Dark from Mandala.

I tend to go for smoky and roasted teas for autumn, definitely lots of Lapsang Souchong and Roasted Dong Ding get sipped by me.

Of course I like pumpkin spice :-) But, I tend to really kick into herbals when autumn rolls around, especially orange spice or chamomile. Might be because I live in Oregon and we go from hot and sunny to pouring rain, so I need the antioxidant boost :)

I almost live off of hoji cha/hoji kukicha in the cooler months. Chai blends, Lapsang Souchong, Genmaicha, roasted Oolongs and other roasty/toasty teas become staples.

I’m currently looking for a good pumpkin/pumpkin spice tea for Autumn.

I’ve been enjoying Republic of Tea’s Pumpkin Spice. I use 2 bags per 12oz mug to get a nice creamy infusion.

Isho Tea has a really nice “pumpkin pie a la mode” you could try (it’s roast/toasty, but you can sweeten to taste):

The company I work for also does a “deluxe” organic pumpkin pie spiced tea that’s very yummy (and sells out every season). http://www.plumdeluxe.com/product/deluxe-pumpkin-spice-tea

I love that mug! The tea looks yummy too. :)

Thank you! The Republic of Teas Pumpkin Spice is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

I do like roasty/toasty too though. Maybe I’ll have to try Isho Tea as well.

I’ve been feeling it in the air for some time now…

Chinese black teas because of their chocolate, malt, and honey notes. Also, pumpkin- or apple-flavored teas!

I agree about Chinese black teas, very nice for Autumn.

I’m surprisingly into Earl Grey in the fall. I don’t usually like it, but the cooler it is the better EG sounds.

Chai blends, Early Grey, bold breakfast teas, anything that goes well with a bit of milk and sugar.

Caramel and vanilla tend to be my faves all year, but especially in the fall. I loved Della Terra’s Pumpkin tea last year and await a return for this year. Also fond of cinnamon teas for the fall.

Chai, spiced teas and roasted oolongs so far, although I will be progressing into shu and EGs as it gets colder..but currently I have been in the mood for spiced teas and apple teas. And starting to make lattes again, although my aerolatte had a battery explode in it yesterday :( so I am on the hunt for a better milk frother lol.

Totally forgot to add The Jasmine Pearl’s Caravan. It’s the perfect fall blend. I have a feeling I’ll be going through quite a bit of it in the upcoming season.
