Steepster Tea Club

I tried to resolve this through support but I received no response and have given 2 weeks.
I signed up for the $5 promotion tea of the month club which did not indicate it would be recurring. I looked for a way to cancel membership but saw not so assumed it was a one month promotional. The following month I received a charge of $24.99 and never received my tea.
There is also no way to cancel membership to the tea of month club.
I demand my 24.99$ be refunded and my tea of the month club be canceled.
Further, I warn all steepster members from signing up for this monthly. The teas were meh, the quantity was tiny, and the customer support is lousy. There are much better options.

First off, let me appologize for the lack of response. We’ve been backed up with some emails but that certainly shouldn’t happen and doesn’t excuse it. I just replied to your email and your situation should be resolved at this point, but let me know if there’s anything else I can help with.

To clarify, I would like to point that anyone can cancel their membership at anytime through their Steepster account. Also, promotions we run for Steepster Select are almost always part of a recurring subscription and the promotional offers do mention this as well as our confirmation pages and emails.

Regarding the shipment of your tea, each shipment is sent with a corresponding USPS tracking number so that you can track the status/location of your box. In this case, both shipments are noted as Delievered according to the tracking number.

Lastly, I’m deeply sorry and disappointed your didn’t like the teas. Although we know there are a wide variety of tastes out there, we try very hard to source and curate high quality teas that we believe will be enjoyed by our customers. While we may not always get it right, for the most part people seem to enjoy the teas.

I can confirm that I never received my tea.
Also, For those wondering how much tea you get for $24.99 a month – its less than half an ounce of 5 teas.

Sorry to hear you haven’t received the tea. Maybe there was a mixup with the post office? Though I’m not sure what USPS will say because the tracking info says it was delivered, if you respond to my email to clarify which package(s) weren’t received, I’d be happy to use your tracking number and work with the post office to try and figure out what happened. If I can’t resolve the issue with them, I’d be happy to send a replacement.

For the amount of tea, it is 5 samples for a total of 40g, which comes out to 1.4oz of tea to be specific (each of the 5 samples are 8g). You can see this mentioned on the Steepster Select page (http://steepster.com/select/). Hopefully that’s clear for anyone who has been wondering.

Sorry you had such a bad experience, I love my Steepster subscription. A lot of subscriptions offer small amounts of tea, so this is not uncommon. Would love to see your reviews of the teas you did receive. :)
