Lotus - anyone?

I can’t figure out why lotus is not more popular. The only version of this tea I can buy locally is Tazo decaf in a bag. It is ok but not great. I love the smell and taste of lotus. My limited experience with Jasmine and Rose is that they are overpowering and dominate the brew. I prefer more balance. Lotus just seems much more subtle.

Have you tried the green ginger? I used to drink it all the time til Tazo took my non sachet teas away. They have a white cucumber I’m dying to try too.

yeah, it is what i get when i have tea at starbucks. but it is not one i get excited about.

Lotus is the only Tazo tea I have bought more than once. I have not tried green ginger – but I will. Tazo Earl Grey might be ok if it were labeled as a breakfast tea but it is yeech as an Earl Grey.

Oh, I lucked out.
A Korean tea shop near where I live (their only US location) has lotus leaf tea. Really good stuff, and I love the detox.

Cool! If my understanding is correct Lotus is a traditional Vietnamese tea. I guess I need to visit a couple Asian food stores in a nearby town and see if I can luck out as well.
