Bluebird Tea Co. Group Order - [CLOSED!]
Hello! I am organizing a group order with Bluebird Tea Co. This is a company that sells really yummy tea blends, but shipping from the UK to the US is expensive which is why we’re splitting the shipping with a group order!

If you’re seriously interested in being a part of this order, please post here so we can follow each other (if we’re not already) and send messages. I will be the one to contact regarding the teas you want and will be sending out any updates as they arise.
This group order is also offering the option to split the cost of teas if multiple people are interested in the same tea. This isn’t mandatory, of course, but if you want just a few tsps of tea, you do have the option to split the cost/amount with others.
*Additional information: I will be accepting Paypal for all payments. As we may be splitting up teas, I will be purchasing scent/flavor-proof pouches and would ask an additional $2 or so (possibly less or more) depending on how many people we have in the order to cover this expense IF we do split.

I would be interested! I know you say there’s no deadline, but do you think we may have it done before Christmas? A couple of their Christmas ones sound sooooo good.
Yes, definitely! I am hoping to order in mid-early November at the latest.. Likely in a few weeks, possibly earlier if there isn’t more interest.

I thought the list idea was easier, so everyone could get a general idea of what to split/how much they wanted. But if removing it has more people in on the group order, that’s fine with me. I’ll just have no idea what to order. :D
Hopefully we don’t wait too long to order as they might run out of some teas. I know they already had to re-stock their pumpkin.
Tea sipper, I am sending you the amounts/teas everyone wants to buy so you can figure out your own order. We will still be splitting teas if multiple people are interested in the same ones.. So don’t worry about spending full price! :)
Sounds good then.. and if anyone else would like to see the list to plan your order, I can send it through message. Personally, 50 grams is a lot for me to commit to of one tea, but I will if I have to on the ones I really want. It won’t be over 50 grams for me for any tea though. It doesn’t help I’m broke. So even if anyone would want to buy a few teaspoons from the 50 grams I end up ordering of a tea, it would help me. I have been planning a Bluebird order for a while after trying their magical samples years ago!
Could you send it to me? There are several things I’d like and would rather have smaller amounts for sure.
Hey, you guys know they do 20g samples? So even if nobody else wants in on it you don’t necessarily have to get the 50g ones (:
Yeah, but you’re saving a LOT of money by getting at least the 50 grams and splitting it with other people, even more money is saved if we’re able to split 150 grams of the same tea.
How does everyone feel about a deadline on November 5 to get your orders to me?

You could find ‘Bluebird’ under the Steepster ‘teas’ to see which ones are the highest rated. I usually love all of the ones I’ve tried though.
I don’t really think you save on shipping with a group order because you then have to pay for domestic shipping to you.
Shipping would at least be $15-20 so splitting that among a few people, it would only be a few dollars. So I’m fine with paying for domestic shipping after that.
I think the problm is that the US Post Office charges so much. Once you pay something like $14 for domestic shipping, any savings you had have disappeared. I myself was thinking of posting a thread for a group order to a puerh seller from CHina who offers a 25% discount, but the catch is the order has to be above $1000. I would have posted the thread but I didn’t think that I would get enough people to get over the $1000 mark. If you get to $2000 he offers 35% off. The website in question is Laochaclub.ru.
$14? First class (up to 13 ounces) starts at $2.32 and goes up a bit by weight. I think the most any of us will end up with is a few ounces total…
The group orders I’ve done have definitely been worth it. Tea is quite light and it doesn’t cost much to stick in a $.75 bubble mailer and send first class. Usually only a few dollars.
Yeah, I know if it’s a pound of tea then it will be around $10 depending on weight, so I’m trying to buy less than a pound of tea. :D

And I really wanted some of that Pumpkin. Not sure how many of the others are autumn blends. So I guess it’s best to get the order going soon.

I wish I knew officially when the autumn teas would be done… Sunday seems soon. The only teas I’ve had any idea from are Cameron B’s.
I have sent Bluebird a message asking them if they could be more specific with a date. Will let you know. I’m preparing my own list now and will message it to you!
I looked at them, and liked the Christmas Cake one until I saw stevia in it. So :( And the Vicky’s Sponge cake has coconut. :(
All the blends I wanted, except one, contained stevia. Huge bummer. For the life of me I don’t understand why companies do that. Won’t people just sweeten it themselves if they want it?
I don’t know… do you think ‘sugar’ in their descriptions means the same as ‘stevia’? Sometimes it says one or the other but I really don’t see it in many of the descriptions either way.
I’m just going to throw this out there to get the ball rolling. I will buy 50 grams of my favorites because it’s a better deal than the experience packs or samples BUT if anyone wants to buy any amounts of these 50 grams feel free to, as I’d be happy with around 30 grams of each tea. I’d be happy to buy amounts (like 15 grams) of other teas if people just tell me what they want. There are a TON I want to try and I’m flexible!
