The mailing lists have been sent out. Contact me if you didn’t get a message and am following me. Thanks to everyone for their input and I hope you’re having a great Thanksgiving weekend!

If you agreed to ship international, you should be getting two messages. Please respond to both!

Hi everyone! I just got back from the post office. (I had a Thanksgiving card returned.)

So please note that when sending cards (through the US post office) the envelope should be uniformly flat (not bumpy). If it can’t pass through a slot 1/4 inch thick, it’s considered a small package. If the envelope is larger than that, but uniformly flat, it’s considered a large envelope (which I think is 21 cents more…). Each ounce warrants one stamp when sending as a letter. Please consult your local post office if you have any questions or trouble.

I sent my cards out on Friday. The postage (domestic) was just 0.49 for about 4 servings of tea (2 kinds, 2 servings each) put in the small plastic swap bags. Ziplocs might make the envelope bulkier (mine were not uniformly flat but close to it), but the post office guy said that as long as the envelope was flexible (not rigid, could be bent) that it should be fine with the standard letter postage.

Ooo.. I’m glad! I’m doing about the same (2kinds, 2 servings each) but I was afraid the envelopes might be too fat. Plus the lady at my post office is kind a real stickler for the rules. Mine are almost all done, but def didn’t slide easily through my home made ‘is this more than 1/4 in thick’ card.

Christmas cards and 2 servings of tea (bagged tea-less bulky)are to be posted tomorrow so please update upon receiving them. Thanks all

I put together some tea bags about the same size as an average pre-made tea bags. There isn’t much of a selection of teas where I live outside of Twining’s and Lipton’s, so I’m going to send you those, and if I can find any nicer pre-packaged teas, I’ll put in one with a wrapper so you can have that for your collection. I do have some individually packaged teas, but they’re either loose leaf Teavivre samples or flowering tea. I don’t know if that would be more inconvenient for you, but I could send one of those. My mother also has Twining’s tea, but I don’t feel comfortable sending those to anyone.

does your mum’s twining’s tea looks so bad that you don’t feel comfortable sending. actually i don’t mind you know. i once receive tea that expired years years ago but hey since it’s for my collection i only keep the wrapper n the expired tea i spread it out in my flower pot as fertilizer so you see it served the purpose, no waste at all :)

Actually, I got something in a bag for you. I put the card in one of those thicker envelopes, but the tea bag is actually an odd triangular pyramid shape. I thought about flattening it, but it wouldn’t have worked for the tea bag shape. Anyway, if the tea does flatten, you should be able to put the box thing back together. I don’t know how it will compare to your other tea wrappers. I don’t really drink Tea Forte, but I hope it’s good.

looking forward to see them. thanks a lot

I never thought of saving tea bags, but that’s a great idea. It’s kind of like collecting wine or alcohol bottles, but at least with tea, you don’t end up looking like a wino. Will you post pictures of your tea wrapper collection? That would be really cool. If I find any unique teas with wrappers, I could send them to you, as well. :)

i even have online shop where i do my tea wrappers trading. So far i have in my collections about 13000 different wrappers from all over the world. so you can imagine the stocks of teas i have at home. There are too many to drink. I am not so sure how i can post picture of my collection here. let me check it out first

I was being a butt with procrastination (and forgetfulness…been very stressed these days), so I’m sending mine out in increments over the next couple days. Hopefully none of them will arrive at their destinations after Christmas…

It’s been fun selecting cards!
