Become An ITMA Affiliate Trainer

The International Tea Masters Association has restructured its curriculum to the highest level in the tea industry and is now offering two exceptional courses of instruction: the ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier Course™ and the ITMA Certified Tea Master Course™.

Our eight trainers around the world, all of whom are ITMA Certified Tea Masters™, have been given the additional title of Regional Director. They will be responsible for recruiting and training Affiliate Trainers. ITMA headquarters has been promoting Affiliate Trainer relationships to a qualified list of individuals and will assign them to one of its Regional Directors once they register. Affiliate Trainers will be responsible for scheduling, promoting, and leading the ITMA Certified Tea Sommelier Course™ at the tuition rate of $975. This new rate should generate a significantly larger number of registrants than the current rate of $2,975. Under the new structure, Affiliate Trainers will receive 85% of the tuition revenue collected, while their Regional Director will receive 15% of the revenue.

This proposal involves part-time work and should not interfere with normal business activities.

You have posted about these classes before and it kind of sound pyramid schemeish. Aside from that, I am really confused about your program. You say you offer certification. What does that mean? Who says an attendee is now certified? Is is just attendance based or is there a test you have to pass? Is there a board who decides this? What kind of certification do the instructors have? Is this an accredited post secondary school or course? What does certification do for someone? Are there career advancements in tea that open up or is it just a fun way to spend $1000?

Thank you for this Dustin! I have been wanting to post something similar for such a long time!!

I have wanted to post before too, but thought I was the only one who was skeptical of these posts so I just let it be. After a while I get tired of people coming here only to push their agenda and marketing while not adding to the community.
