On the search for a reasonably priced 'hand rolled' Japanese Sencha

I browsed the Rare Tea Co website earlier and found this Hand Rolled Japanese Sencha.

http://www.rareteacompany.com/shop/8/japanese-tea/43/hand-rolled-sencha-japan-green-tea

It says to ask for the price as their supply is limited. So I went ahead and e-mailed a price enquiry. It was a quick ten or so minutes later when I received a reply, this tea is £10 ($15.50 usd) per 1g! On top of that it is recommended to have 4-5g to brew the Sencha, so that would be a whopping £40/£50 ($63/$79 usd) per serving. That is much richer than my common blood is worth. I’ve looked elsewhere but can’t find anyone boasting of it being fully hand rolled. Can anyone suggest any they may have tried or seen?

ps. I understand that hand rolling is not really done these days and it is a skill that takes time to make and the tea roller deserves a nice reward for the effort. For me it’s just not practical at those prices, someone out there must be somewhat reasonable in terms of pricing such a speciality. That is ideally what I am looking for.

This tea producer says they hand roll. Their teas are pricey but not absurdly out there: http://www.yamanien.com/about-us.html

Thank you very much! I can justify £43/$68 on 100g of their finest handrolled Sencha. Though I just tried to purchase and it says that their is an issue with the sellers Paypal account and they are not allowed to accept orders at the moment. So I will save it for future reference.

Thank you very much! I’ve contacted them as I can’t see it for sale on the website. I hope to hear back from them shortly.

They said the tea is not yet for sale but should be listed in the next couple of weeks.
