Dammann Frères, day 14 is Christmas Tea Blanc! It’s a white-based blend with almond, cherry, and gingerbread. Unfortunately I seem to have gotten a poor example in my sachet, which tasty almost exclusively of ginger…

Dammann Frères, day 15 is Bali! This one is a green tea with floral and fruit flavors, and I was quite surprised to like it since I don’t generally enjoy floral! :)

Dammann Frères, Day 17 is Paul & Virginie Vert! This is a green-based tea with red fruits, vanilla, and caramel. I thought the vanilla/cream flavor was fantastic but I want to try the black version. :P

What does ‘red fruits’ mean? I have a Kusmi tea coming and one of the ingredients is ‘red fruits.’ does that mean apple? Pomegranate? Cherry? confused

Generally it’s some blend of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and red currant. Doesn’t have to be all of them though.

Teanzo’s Advent Calendar:
Day 14 – Breakfast Blend: mine tasted really old and bland :(
Day 15 – Rooibos: I’ve never had straight Rooibos before!
Day 16 – Seasonal Relief: This one just tastes so… good for you.
Day 17 – Cranberry tea: not as satisfying as I would have hoped :/

Man, I have really been slacking with putting these up on Steepster! I have been drinking them everyday though, I promise ;)

Day 14: I didn’t have as negative an experience with my Breakfast blend as you did. I quite enjoyed this tea.

Day 15: The rooibos was alright. It was rooibos.

Day 16: I did not like this. This was my least favorite thus far. Did not like. NO.

Day 17: I enjoyed the cranberry. It might have been nice with a little bit of cinnamon, or perhaps a bit of orange to perk up the flavor a little, but it was still good. Especially after the big time fail with Day 16.

Teanzo’s Advent Calendar Day 18 – Hibiscus.
….

I just couldn’t do it.

I did. Yeah. I was sick last week and I’m actually drinking the teas early so that I can have the reviews ready to roll for the blog (SororiTea Sisters), and while I’m no fan of hibiscus, I have to say that it really does help when I wasn’t feeling 100%.

I don’t think I’d want to brew myself another cup of it anytime soon though. Especially now that I’m over what I had last week.

I ended up cold-brewing the hibiscus with Yerba mate and spearmint last night to take to work today. It was pretty good. But hot hibiscus? Forget it.

These are the sacrifices I make as a tea blogger.

Teanzo’s advent calendar Day 19 – Vanila Rooibos.
A big yawn for me. Interesting to note: the leaves were really small again, just like Safari. Straight up Rooibos? Bigger leaves.
Day 20 – Orange Creme.
Yummy! I actually felt the creaminess in the tea. Like a chocolate orange but with black tea instead of chocolate!

The vanilla rooibos were tasty. I enjoyed the vanilla notes and I liked the way the nutty flavors of the rooibos melded with the vanilla. It was tasty, but, it wasn’t the most exciting tea that I’ve tasted of the bunch so far.

I really enjoyed the Orange Creme. I was really happy that this was part of the calendar because this was one of the teas I was hoping to try (other than the Winter Earl Grey which we had on day 1).
