Wedding Favors

I’m helping my best friend plan her wedding and and she just mentioned tea favors from Tea Forte. I know Adagio does them as well. Does anyone else have any suggestions for companies that do tea favors? Irina mentioned Tea Forte’s bags, but loose would really be nice.

Lupicia and Design a Tea – I think both do wedding favors & since its a wedding favor bagged might be better since most people don’t know how to do loose, unless the guest are tea savvy which would be neat – just a thought.

Oh yes, DaT is good too! I can see your point Caitlin and it would be different if I could know for sure the bagged tea would be of superior quality just like loose, but I can’t. I would also like to give people the option of being as OCD about their steeping parameters (which includes leaf/water ratio) as I am. I go by the philosphy of “What if I am the only one that ever has the opportunity to share loose tea w/ this person”? Yes, I know- I’m way too obsessed w/ loose tea:)

I definitely get the idea of introducing good tea to people! Maybe include t-sacs and/or steeping instructions to help people a bit.

I thought Tea Forte did those cute lil pyramids? If you want blooming tea favors, check out the exotic teapot. I swear I am not affiliated, but was just on their site and notice them.

Irina probably just used the word “bag” instead of pyramid. Blooming teas are on option too… Do you know how long they last sitting in water? I’m thinking maybe as a center piece for the reception tables? Just a thought…

I think they will sit-up in water for about a day…I know that many tea shops keep on blooming to generate interest and I think they bloom pretty much from open to close. I seriously doubt the tea is drinkable, but the flower is blooming.

There is also a company called Tea Spree that you could look into for pyramids.

It’s funny, since they’ve been together she’s started drinking more coffee and he’s started drinking more tea lol. I still think Irina likes it much more than Brock- he drinks a LOT of plain water.

I reviewed the Harney & Sons Wedding Tea here a few weeks ago – it’s lovely. If I was getting married again (to the same fabulous man, of course), I would definitely order the pretty personalized tins.

I don’t have much to offer that hasn’t already been mentioned, but in thinking ahead to my own favors possibly next year – the idea of blooming tea appeals to me. Budget-friendly as well, since I’ll most likely be doing it myself instead of hiring out. Lucky I live 10 minutes from a Teavana store that has nice bulk supplies of them. Can get gauze sachets to put them in at the local craft store to match the eventual color scheme. The gears are turning! :)

My guy isn’t much of a tea drinker himself, but neither of us can or want to drink alcohol (medical stuff), so this is looking like a great idea.

Did your best friend decide on a wedding favor? I’m going through the same process. I’m hosting my best friend’s bridal shower, and I can’t decide on the bridal shower favors. I’m thinking tea since she also loves tea. :)

Ok, now I need 400 honey sticks (unflavored). The best price I found is $44 at http://www.honeystix.biz/ Anyone know of a place that can beat that? We don’t have a Costco here for me to check, but Irina does so that still could be an option.

No, between 150-200 favors, 2 sticks per person… cuz you should ALWAYS share your tea w/ a friend.
