Best Matcha?

O-cha has been recommended to me. I have tried their Matcha too. I thought it was good but want to try the higher grades.

Teavana’s ceremonial matcha is decent and has a bright green color, an indication of quality. I’ve tried Yuuki Cha’s Yame Matcha and thought it was good too. I recently ordered DoMatcha after reading all the glowing reviews here. Will try it and report back.

We like to think we’re not so bad, but it all comes down to taste.

Our Drinkers blend product is a ceremonial matcha made from Tencha leaves picked during the first harvest pluck of Uji, Kyoto, Japan. It’s good stuff, but some of the mentions here are admittedly better. We generally aim to be a good affordable option that you can drink everyday without breaking the bank. (~$0.50/g)

I tried Domatcha which was decent. I tried a couple of others at retail stores.

The best so far I have tried is Breakaway Matcha. They are after the best of the best and they certainly succeed. Only problem with that is they are quite pricey. But they have the creme de la creme if that is what you are after.

And if you think Teavanna’s Imperial matcha is good (I didn’t), Breakaway Matcha will blow your head off in comparison.

No kidding! Breakaway Matcha is $148 for a 30g jar :-O Makes DoMatcha, which is $30 for 80g seem like a bargain.

LOL! Well did you see the one that is $208 USD per 30 grams? Wowee.
They do have some as low as $48.00 per 30 grams, however.

I have tried some of them and they are as smooth as silk. I guess it would be special occasion matcha for most of us on a budget.

Thank you Gaius. Please note that we’re developing a new and less-expensive line of coldbrew matcha. I’ve found that many beginner matcha drinkers actually prefer drinking it cold rather than hot. The Coldbrew Original is creamy and quite sweet, and priced at just $28.

Matcha really is a lot like wine. From its agricultural origins to the final processing, the similarities are striking. And just as there are many artisanal wine makers who limit their production to, say, 5,000 cases or fewer, many of the smaller, scrappier, and more obsessed matcha growers too, limit their production.

It’s really a supply and demand issue when you come right down to it. Plenty of winemakers sell out their entire output years in advance, in the form of futures. Several I know are sold out through 2021. Some of the highest quality Matcha is already following wine in this regard.

Zenga Tea’s premium matcha blend is ridiculously smooth, sweet and refreshing. Super bright green color & so fresh. Must try.

I’ve been tasting many different brands and this one gets my vote for sure. And I think they’re brand new. Plus, they offer free shipping at a fairly reasonable price ($35 total) and it comes with a handwritten letter from the owner. Love it!

You truly get what you pay for.
