Definitely enoyed this tea, slightly more astrignent than David’s, but perhaps less complex.
4 Tasting Notes
After trying a couple of Darjeelings (and liking them) I tried the shop’s other recommendation for a full straight black tea – the Assam. This tea is full with flavour, but with delicate overtones – almost malty but with bite. Definitely good with a dash of milk. Not as astringent as a Darjeeling.
I really enjoyed this tea – my first Darjeeling. Excellent fruity tang and good bite, full enough to stand a drop of milk, but self drinking without. Loved it. Shame they are sold out right now.
My second Darjeeling – it is a pleasant tea with the characteristic bite. It is self drinking, but full enough to stand a drop of milk (for my preferences).
