The first time I ever tried this tea was a small free sample at my elementary school’s spring fair, and I was immediately hooked. I found myself going to Starbucks the very next day for more!
I don’t quite know how I feel about this tea. The first time, I tried it in the store, I absolutely loved it, so naturally I was thrilled when my sister received it in the winter collection. However, upon smelling it at home, i was immediately put off. The smell was incredibly strong of fruit, but with an odd undertone I couldn’t place- but it wasn’t appealing. I wasn’t a fan of the taste nearly as much at home either- I don’t know what happened but it wasn’t what I remembered at all.
I adore this tea. As a huge maple fanatic, it was a given that I had to try it. Going in with very high expectations, as maple is a huge favourite of mine, I was pleasantly surprised! The maple flavour is lovely without being overwhelming, and there isn’t much of the rooibos woodiness.
One of my favourite winter teas, for sure. The dry aroma is astoundingly strong, and when steeped it is toned down just enough so that the taste isn’t overwhelming. Just lovely!
