& Bacon Jerky (website would not allow me to add bacon jerky to ingredient list)
This is a light black tea, quite floral without being overwhelmingly flowery, has notes of maple, I do taste the bacon, and, surprisingly, BUTTER! No fake smoke or other unpleasantness that is often the accompaniment of ‘bacon flavored’ gimmicks.

Boiling 5 min, 0 sec

Bio

I’m a daily coffee drinker, but trying to educate myself about tea and get into drinking tea more often. I’ve mostly been into herbal teas for their medicinal properties, but not cared much for the flavors I’ve found. (Rooibos for allergies, green tea for antioxidants & weight management, mint for tummy trouble, kava for calm, etc.)

I am often tempted by teas in the tea aisle at the grocery store or at coffee shops just because they sound nice or smell good, and by tea vendors at Steampunk events. At this point I have sort of a ridiculous collection of teas, for someone considering herself basically a non-tea-drinker.

I’d really like to have a good working knowledge of teas, a bit of vocabulary and some general ideas on types of teas. So here we go! Pip Pip Cheerio!
