135 Tasting Notes
As predicted, I enjoyed the last cup more than the first :)
Backlogging from San Fran again!
TMI ahead? Maybe if you’re ridiculously easily offended. I use the word toilet….
Let me tell you, I did a ton of walking down there. I mean everywhere. All the time. Public toilets? No. So how am I supposed to go to the bathroom?! Starbucks. Everywhere.
Go in. Buy a tea. Use the toilet.
I didn’t mind it! I first got it as a latte, but I enjoyed the flavor enough to get it straight. Of course this only led to more trips to the bathroom, and more Starbucks stops for tea. It’s a vicious cycle.
Backlogging from San Fran again. Drank this in Union Square. I ordered this before the food came. Thank god! The second our sandwich was set down, a BEETLE crawled out of the salad. Being a laid back chicky, I went for the sandwich anyways and bit into a cold puh-nee-nee.
I’m putting this story in because my review of the tea might be skewed, as it is the ONLY thing I had for lunch that day.
Yummzo. The fragrance was strong, even outdoors. Strong cooling mint was very refreshing. Overall enjoyable!
While this tea was steeping, I was losing my mind! Oh goodness gracious how can I wait any longer?! Chocolate strawberries? Sexy….
The taste is light. I tried this with some german rock sugar from Ovation. I’m getting a sour aftertaste. First cup of a big pot. Tea always tastes better from the bottom. We’ll see!
Backlogging from SF. I hardly steeped this tea at all, and I enjoyed the light floral flavor. I steeped it many times in my hotel room with the teeny tiny coffee cups.
No. No thanks. No thank you. I SAID NO!
The only other orange tea I’ve had? Tazo. This is immeasurably better.
This pot was fantastic! Peaches and cinnamon? Sweet lord I was melting into the couch. What am I doing with my day? Drinking pot after pot after pot of tea. Murder mysteries on the TV. Sounds good…..
Oh good lord. I love fruity teas. What can I say? New kid on the tea boat. Loving the spicy peach.
I have to start by saying that I am not a big fan of blueberries. It’s 8:20 AM and I’m getting off of a ridiculously miserable night at work. I received my samples yesterday and I am very excited to try them.
I read the reviews while it was steeping and I was nervous to take the first sip. No sweetener/milk.
I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but something makes me feel very nostalgic while drinking this tea in bed.
I do enjoy it though. I’m trying not to. Damnit, I can NOT enjoy something that tastes like blueberries!
Would I buy this again? Possibly. It’s something light that I can drink before bed without any bitter aftertaste.
Rating my own blend? Yes I am! Sticky chunky tea. Black and sweet. With a splash of cream and german rock sugar.

So here I am, the night before a big trip to San Fran. I’ve packed up all of my favorite teas. Now I’m checking to see what’s left behind. Here I find Rooibos Chai. I bought it recently before a night at work when I was in a bit of a rush. I don’t remember disliking it, but the aroma is strong and intimidating. I decided to brew up a before-bed-pot and settle in.
I actually enjoyed this more than I remember. I’m very new to tea so a description is hard to fabricate. The cinnamon is a bit strong, but a bit of milk settled that down. I find my mouth feeling dry after each sip. Other than that, it quiets the mind and body enough to hit the hay!
