232 Tasting Notes

Earl Grey Oolong (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
89

I have had this minute 12g for weeks now and I will admit that part of le knows that a full tin in my collection of Oolongs at home. I like that there is not heavy burgamont, I’m not a huge fan – the jasmine is a favourite flavour to me.

I love the Oolong used for this tea and will purchase more when I need it, one scoop of leaves lasts me a full morning of sleeping; brilliant!!

Apres Ski (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
78

I was worried that after having another tea from DT with figs in it, that I would not appreciate this tea at all, but I was blissfully mistaken.

It’s been a while since I’ve had this tea and it’s not noté worthy enough for me to want to buy more, but it is a tea I will look forward to in next years winter collection.

Santa's Secret from DAVIDsTEA
100

OMG! I only bought 100g, but I’m thinking the next empty tin will be a toss up between this or chilli chocolate chai..

So good

All my favourite things in one cup, pepermint, chocolate and tea!

SIP, SIP ahhh

Kanpe Tea from DAVIDsTEA
68
Cranberry Pear from DAVIDsTEA
92

This one went fast, since I shared the 20g purchase with friends. So delish! This is my Sunday night tea! And defiantly one to share with company.

Snow Bunny (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
17

Vomit! Walnut in tea, not my friend, you bitter, bitter foe!!

Chocolate Chili Chai from DAVIDsTEA
100

I burned through this one so fast I was sad to see the last little bit go. And even sadder to find that there is no more in Victoria… At this time! Of all the chai that DAVIDs sells this one ia my favourite, well second to cinnamon rooibos chai.

Jade Oolong Chai (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
61

A little intense on the first steep. I think the water may have been still too hot

Forever Nuts from DAVIDsTEA
92

Today’s advent tea…

Mmmm, it smells delicious before it is steeped and it tastes just as incredible!! I would say more but this little phone screen is not conducive to posting long comments.

Other than… Mmmmmmmm

Green and Fruity from DAVIDsTEA

Not something I’d expect in an Advent calendar, but… Tasty enough as always and a forgivable over sight… Can we have Glitter and Gold next year?

Read My Lips from DAVIDsTEA
96

Yum-yum, December 1st. Had this before, loved it then so there was no doubt I’d love it this time too!!

Glitter & Gold from DAVIDsTEA
99

Wow, I’m almost sorry I put off purchasing this tea. It is delightful and this morning it steeped twice. Tue second steep really brought out the cinnamon.

More later when I’m not fighing with a touch screen keyboard.
Buttered Rum (organic) from DAVIDsTEA
100
Checkmate from DAVIDsTEA
90

Mmmm!!! I will edit this later, because I really should go to my bus and get to my site..

So GOOD!! So good!!

Carrot Cake from DAVIDsTEA
100

I’ve had this in my cupboard for a while and I have merrily carted it from work to home and this weekend to Camp Bernard! Yes this tea has been to Scout Camp!! And I must say I was SO happy to have it with me! It fought off the cold, and slowed down the progression of the cold I have now.

The kids agreed that the tea smelled like carrot cake with frosting and one even went so far as to try and trade me his hot chocolate for my tea at “mug up” – Sorry kid, this tea is for big kids.

Mmmm carrots, Mmmm apples, Mmmm delish! You won’t want to share either.

Detox from DAVIDsTEA

Oh Detox, you are a girls best friend the morning after when she gets home still a little drunk and missing half her costume (I was still decent).

I don’t know what is in this but it tastes amazing and I’m almost ready to nap headache free.

Kanpe Tea from DAVIDsTEA
68

Ummm… Still undecided.

This might be a fruit Tea that I share, with my kids at work. It smells delightful, like sour cherry pie and banana splits but the taste falls flat. It could be because I did not put enough tea into my Libre or it could be that my first scoop got too much hibiscus in it, but either way something was missing.

It’s a great tea for a great cause, I will just have to give it one more try before I completely write it off as a no-go.

Raspberry from Tea Desire
78

Woops! Too many leaves for my little 12oz Libre, so the first steep smelled delicious but it tasted like GRASS!!

The second and third steep’s are much better and far more palpable, although the third steep has no raspberry scent and the leaves are taking up almost 2/3’s of the glass – next time LESS LEAVES silly me!

Long Life Oolong from DAVIDsTEA
99

Last little bit… I got 4 steeps out of it in the Libre glass my brother gave me (what an amazing invention!!!)

Mmmm, I am counting the days for more of this delightful tea, until then I will enjoy some Carrot Cake Oolong instead.

Long Life Oolong from DAVIDsTEA
99

I have had two “Mini Betty’s” (a single serve brown teapot) of this today and there is last little bit left for when I get home. I wish there was a tea fairy that could deliver more to me! sigh alas I will have to wait until next payday.

It is just so sweet and delicious, I am sad that I can only ever get three steepings out of this tea, but for the cost and all that flavouring, I am not going to complain… Mmmm, peeeaches! Aaapricots! Mmmmmmmm!

Carnival from Winston's Tea Company
96

I know I have drank this more than a measly 3 times (because I only have half of a 50g bag left)

It is so good and the creamy chocolatey pick-me-up taste really adds to my day.

Four Seasons from Samovar
100

Mmmmm! Thank-you QuiltGuppy for this one!

I have finally had some and it is SO TASTY! I have only sat down with it once, but once is enough to fall in love.

Next time I will pay more attention to details and write it down somewhere so that I can give people a better idea of my experience.

Glitter & Gold from DAVIDsTEA
99

I’ll say it again and again and again… This ROCKS as a Latte!

Zing Me from DAVIDsTEA
95

Mmmm! I have had this twice in the past week and it will be a sad day when it is all gone! I will have to get some Southern Belle to see if it will fill the void of this tea once it is all gone… hmmm…

Profile

Bio

I love to read and what goes better with reading than a hot cup of tea on rainy winter nights and an ice-cold tea on a hot summers day?

I used to drink copious amounts of coffee but that was just a joke, because I never drank enough water to flush out that one cup of coffee (32oz of water to 8oz of coffee?!?) and the variety in tea gives me what I need – it is not often I will drink the same thing twice.

Tea is defiantly more gentle on the waistline… Espcially since when I crave apple pie I can reach for a cup of “Mom’s Apple pie” or if I want caramel corn for my movie night, I just have to brew a cup of “Movie Night”…

I definitely have a preference for Oolongs, flavoured Blacks and a select number of flavoured Rooibos.

I love you tea, this can only get better as the extra weight continues to tapper off!

Oh, did I mention I am a reader, a childcare worker, a teacher, a friend, a sister and so many other things in a day?
