drank Mint Chocolate Rooibos by DAVIDsTEA

I love this tea. If you’ve had read my lips by Davids, this is similar but only in a way Rooibos can be… as it’s has no caffeine. I usually suggest this one to people to try if they’re looking for a minty chocolate tea that won’t keep them up all night. Especially good in the cold months. mmmmmmm chocolate.

drank Silver Yin Zhen Pearls by Teavana

I had no expectations going into this tea but that most of the white teas I’ve tasted had little to no taste. This one doesn’t taste like much but it does have a taste, a nice earthy taste. I did smell the steeped leaves before i took a taste. It’s light and not bitter. I’m not sure why people have a hate on for it. It’s not my fave but I don’t hate it.

drank Chocolate Orange by DAVIDsTEA

DID NOT LIKE. Did I make that clear enough? To be fair to the tea, i’m not a fan of chocolate and orange mixed together. I’ll even send it to someone if they want a 50g bag. blech. It’s just to Orangy for me.

I just tried a sample I received of this and loved it! Then I saw your review. I was wondering, has anyone taken you up on that offer? And if not, I’d love to help you get this tea off your hands :)

Erin

Emile, yes, someone already did :( Maybe next time?

One of my first loves of tea was peppermint. It’s awesome for upset stomach, calming nerves, aiding digestion and reducing headaches. I love peppermint tea, especially in the winter time when you just want to warm up.

Peppermint tea can vary in it’s strength and this tea is VERY peppermint’y’. Take note of your steeping time, 30-60 seconds. I steeped for closer to 70 seconds because I generally like my tea stronger, I have to say, it’s a bit too strong. AND I just burned my mouth. Perfect.

If you get the chance in the Summer buy fresh mint or grow It (I Grow it indoors in Winter) bruise it and put a large bunch in a tea pot ant pour on the steaming hot water to steep strong. In Lebanon Egypt etc.this is served with lots ant lots of sugar in small glasses for hours. Keep adding water. I grow 6 organic mint varieties.(pineapple, orange, apple, banana, chocolate, speermint)

drank Black Dragon Pearl by Teavana

This is my first balled teavana tea that i’ve tried and I used 6 balls for about one litre of water. I was worried it was going to be too strong but it is a wonderfully rich tea that’s not bitter. So far I can drink it black, but next time I may add milk to it. I can’t taste the “chocolate” taste people are talking about but i’m excited to steep it more than once.

This is the number one tea I recommend to first time tea drinkers. it’s delicious! It tastes like Christmas in a cup. A nice mix of chocolate, black tea, and peppermint…it is delicious.

drank Gyokuro Imperial by Teavana

I was very surprised at the subtle flavour of this tea. I steeped it for 50 seconds, and it was not bitter but had a light grassy taste to it. It was very nice.

I absolutely love this green tea. I get the gyokuro genmaicha at Teavana (to save some money, as this gyokuro is a bit spendy), but the toasted rice and high quality green tea mixed is delicious. Highly recommended if you like toasty tasting teas :)

This too was one of my first Teavana purchases. I am not a huge fan of Oolong teas to begin with but this one smelled very delicious in the store—and hey it’s got chocolate in it, so generally that means it will taste fab.

I too couldn’t smell the rose that is in it, and it has an odd combination of flavours. More like a dark chocolate (cacao) than a milky one. Its not bad, not my favourite, and wouldn’t curb my chocolate craving.

It wasn’t very strong, but i find with Oolong tea’s adding more tea to make it stronger is tricky, because sometimes it just tastes bitter.

drank Honey Bee by DAVIDsTEA

I was pleasantly surprised as I’m not a fan of honey and it smells very strongly of it. I’ve fallen in love with maté. I first tried this tea from the Advent Calender and it’s amazing. It isn’t a sweet tea but very subtle honey and lemony flavour. But not that nasty lemon you usually taste in tea. I’ve totally gone out and bought a tin of this!
