5 Tasting Notes

Earl Grey Bravo from Adagio Teas

Even though I’m not a huge earl grey fan this was a pretty good cup of tea. I’m home for spring break and had to show off my ingenuiTEA to my mother, so I made us a couple cups of this. It wasn’t awful by any means, I just don’t like earl grey all that much..

Now this is the kind of tea I could see myself drinking every morning as a coffee replacement. The taste is a little richer than a lot of the more common bagged black teas I have been drinking on a regular basis (PG Tips, Twinings, etc), but overall it is fairly similar in overall “tea genre.” That’s to be expected, as it’s an Irish Breakfast blend. I have yet to decide whether I prefer it over Adagio’s England Breakfast but it’s really quite good either way.

For a mainstream, easy to find black tea this really isn’t bad. It’s certainly not my favorite black tea but it will do in a pinch. It’s also decent if you throw a couple bags into a big batch of iced tea.
