This came as a part of my new years Luck Bag, Happy Bag? Something like that. Anyway, it was a good start to a morning after have no power for 5 hours yesterday! (6 til 11 pm very inconvenient.)
I have tons of more interesting teas to drink, but this was nice. Very down to earth. Very grounding.
Happy Friday!
Brewing a travel mug to carry with me to work.
So good! To me, this is sort of an archetype. Very smooth with no bitterness. Not the most exciting, I really prefer more strongly flavored teas, but this is just good.
So much better than the last time I tried it. I used more of the “tea” and steeped for a good long time. (It’s not like you can oversteep fruit tisanes anyway, right?)
This time it has a strong fruit flavor along with an earthiness that is very appealing. I’m changing the rating a bit to reflect the goodness of today’s tasting.
Sweetened just a bit, this tastes just like a juicy, ripe honeydew melon. I’m adding it to the shopping list. I think this would be really awesome iced for the summertime!
This seemed like a good choice this morning. I’m feeling a little blah and needed something soothing.
This tea has a very lady-like taste and the leaves are decorated with rose petals. Something (maybe the matcha?) gives it a sweetness.
I had a cup of this tea last night before bed. I liked it a lot and I’m upping the rating somewhat. It has a nice flavor, but is not too fruity. I’ll probably reorder this when it is gone, unless I can find something similar that I like better.
It’s ok. I’m using up what I have, and not buying more.
I’m already tired, and I think this tea is making me sleepy.
The leaves smell wonderful and the tea is just as good. I had it sweetened with no cream or sugar. I think this would be even better with a touch of cream.
I’m definitely going to try that tea latte recipe.
I opened the sample pack and smelled the leaves. This smells just like a cologne or perfume that I used to have. (To the point where I went through some of my perfume oils, sniffing and trying to find the scent, but with no luck.) It smells intensely of pear and honey, and after it brews up, the tea lives up to the scent. You must like honey to like this tea.
I’m guessing that the pollen pieces mentioned on the label are bee pollen? That would explain the intensely honey note.
All gone now. I need to order more of this. My son likes it a lot.
Opened up the tin of coconut pouchong for an afternoon treat! Delicious.
I was able to get three really good cups of tea from this today. Nice for a day off.
This tasted like I was eating sugar cookies with my tea. I enjoyed the vanilla flavor and the black tea base was good as well. I would recommend trying this. I haven’t tried many vanilla teas before (just Twinning and Adagio) but I thought this was worlds above those two.
Drank a couple of cups of this with my sub today. Good as always.
Chamomile is really good with lemon flavors! Who knew? The lemon grass and the lemon myrtle really come through in this, and give it a nice bright flavor.
This isn’t the strongest tasting tea, but I would definitely accept a tin of this for a gift. I think I would even buy it!
I will need to try more oolongs before I can give a really good review of this. I’m not sure my palate is sophisticated enough to figure out what’s missing. Maybe there’s nothing missing, but after reading the other reviews of this tea, I suspect that I just haven’t tried enough oolongs.
I bought a tin of this without sampling first, so it’s a relief to find out that I really, really like it. The orange is there, but is very subtle. I’m not that experienced at this stuff, so I can’t judge the flavor of the tea base, but it has a golden kind of flavor.
I got this to go in one of those travel mugs with an infuser. It is supposed to stand up to multiple infusions, etc, so I’m looking forward to trying it that way. I’m not quite ready to use the travel mug. I’m not sure why. I guess I’m wondering what kind of attention it will recieve at my workplace (large public high school.) It’s clear and they’ll be able to see that there are leaves.
A nice, basic tea. I can’t taste any bitterness and it smells and tastes really good. I could see myself drinking this on a regular basis, but it’s not as good as some of the other black teas from Golden Moon Tea.
I had this in my travel mug today. It’s nice, light, and very drinkable!
The tin is starting to look empty!! I will be sad when this is gone, but I have several other yuzu flavored teas to try once this one is gone. It should be interesting to see if any of them can live up to my opionion of this tea.
After yesterday’s disappointing Golden Moon Tippy Early Grey, I decided to have a cup of Earl Grey that has a really strong Earl Grey punch. It was perfect, yummy, really nice flavored.
I’m a high school chemistry teacher. I enjoy most types of teas. I don’t have any tea shops in my hometown, so I usually order my teas online. Even though I’ve drunk tea for quite a number of years, ordering online for about 15 years, I am far from a tea expert. I just know what I like.
