drank Love Tea #7 by DAVIDsTEA

I finally discovered the addictive evil that is Candy Crush. There goes my spare time for the next two… weeks? months? … years?

Speaking of candy dessert things, I am surprised it took me this long to try this. Steeps makes a solid chocolate covered strawberry tea that I’ve been pining for after going without it for a few years (but luckily picked some up last time I was in Edmonton and still need to review). So how I never thought to try this until now is beyond me.

The chocolate base isn’t a shock to anyone who has experienced DT’s chocolate teas in the past. A little on the sweet, artificial side. The strawberry is pleasant enough. Definitely palpable both smelling the dry leaf and in flavour.

But the liquor gets a little murky and sludgy from the chocolate chips. I’d prefer a “cleaner” tea, which Steeps delivers. It’s decent with almond milk but nothing to write home about.

I know, I got sucked in too. On Level 45 now, after a week or so of playing.

OMGsrsly

Does the game require internet? I might end up getting sucked in if I can play it on the bus… :)

Plunkybug

I’m not sure. I think it does if you play the FB version so it syncs, but not 100% sure. I love Bookworm Soosiz, and Swordigo for the bus for internet free games.

Plunkybug

And Flood It and Flow and Siege Hero sometimes too.

OMGsrsly

:) Thanks!

Soosiz is initially very weird, because of it’s unique center of gravity aspect, but it is really cute, and once you get the hang of the controls, it is not as dizzying as it appears. Siege Hero is like Angry Birds, but from a different perspective, and different characters. Swordigo is like your classic Zelda old school games, but with better graphics, and the others are just simple strategy games.

OMGsrsly

I got Puzzle Quest because I loved it on my DS. So much fun to play on my iPad, but some of the “battles” (they’re essentially bejeweled games) are rather tiny on my phone.

Fjellrev

I just tried Candy Crush after disconnecting wifi and it worked the same, so I highly doubt you do.

Oh geez, talking about the DS, I feel so bad that I’ve been neglecting it. Probably haven’t played it in half a year!

I should look into those other games you mentioned, Heather. Not that I need another distraction or anything haha.

OMGsrsly

The DS was great Before iPhone, when I just had a “normal” cell and a blackberry with no games on it for work. Now that I have the iPhone, I haven’t used the DS in… umm. A couple years?

Fjellrev

Yeah I honestly feel like finding the time to use it more just out of principle. Even my PS3 has been collecting dust since Xmas and will continue to now that I am without a tv. Sigh. So much money towards toys and gadgets.

Plunkybug

I have you trumped. I have a Super Nintendo. That works. :) Party at my place! :P

Fjellrev

Yay! My brother and I had one too but he lent it to a friend and we never got it back. :(

Wow, I miss Super Mario. And Aladdin!

Plunkybug

I don’t have Aladdin, but I have Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Anamaniacs, and a few others.

CHAroma

You know, I was in love with this tea the first time I tried it. But then I bought 50g of it and every cup has been overly floral and just not very good. Where’d the chocolate covered strawberry flavor go?

Fjellrev

What’s up with that? That happened to me with Toasted Marshmallow. The first 10g pouch was great, so I graduated to a whole tin of it and it’s like a totally different tea. Overly sweet and no spice. Either our tastes change or there can be batch differences.
