This tea is so-so. What drew me to this in the first place was the intrigue of tasting chocolate in a non-chocolate based tea. I steeped it according to the instructions and after tasting it a few times, it tastes nothing like chocolate. All I taste is coconut. Not that it is necessarily a bad thing, but eh. I’m not a fan of coconut tastes in general. I drank this unsweetened and no milk. It’s good, and it still tastes good after multiple steepings but I’m glad I got a 25g pouch of this because I don’t think I COULD finish a 50g, let’s say.

drank Mango Diablo by DAVIDsTEA

It’s an okay blend as far as this goes. You can taste the mango taste, and the chili. It is actually quite spicy when you steep it for a bit. I steeped it for like 30 minutes to experiment if the tea will end up spicy and I don’t taste any bitterness from the green tea from over steeping. The mango flavour kind of dulls out but is still present, and now the tea is spicy. It’s okay I guess, probably good if you’re stuffed up or something. I have not tried it with ice but I will eventually.

I absolutely love this tea. It’s very chocolatey because of the cocoa powder, but the flavour bodes well with the mate and the cinnamon. I feel energized when drinking this tea, and it is nice to drink on a cold day. Overall, I will repurchase again in a 100g tin. If you love mate and love chocolate, this is perfect.

I am actually sad they do not sell this at my Davidstea store anymore because this stuff is the bomb! I don’t really understand that it has such a low rating, because it REALLY tastes like chocolate and bananas, and the rooibos is very subtle. I’m not a fan of this tea hot, however. It’s great as a cold latte, and upon tasting it I remember my time at Disney World buying a chocolate covered banana. :P It’s a decent dessert drink!

This is my comfort tea and go-to tea. You know those days where you don’t want a flowery tea, a sweet tea, or a dessert-like tea? This is the one. I love the toasted rice and the popcorn, the nutty flavour is quite nice and comforting. It’s very light tasting, and goes down well. I like to drink this while I’m eating! Especially sushi, haha. All in all, a great basic tea. Sometimes simple is best.

Funny because I don’t taste much licorice in this tea! I bought this tea when I had a cold and the girls at Davidstea recommended this tea because of the licorice. Truthfully, it didn’t help my cold but I could taste it, that’s for sure. The chamomile is strong, and this tea is SO sweet, I was kind of taken aback that I didn’t need to add anything and it was already sweet on it’s own. Not necessarily a bad thing, I suppose. Honestly, I don’t know how I feel about this tea. I don’t hate this tea, but I’m not a big fan either. It’s not horrible by any means.

drank Chocolate Cake by DAVIDsTEA

Out of all the cake teas I’ve had so far from Davidstea, this one is probably the weakest (truthfully, I have not tried Ice Cream cake because it smelled like nothing special). Without adding sugar and milk, this stuff tastes… like blah. Even when I did steep it correctly at the right temperature! All I tasted was black tea, and a subtle chocolate taste. It wasn’t very sweet at all, and I didn’t like how the sprinkles kind of made a residual oily thing in my steeper. Anyways, I have not tried this cold or with milk so I will review it with that when I get the chance. Right now, it’s just boring.

drank Birthday Cake by DAVIDsTEA

Birthday cake, I love anything that has to do with birthday cake! By itself, I don’t taste the birthday cake AS MUCH, but when I add milk and sweetener, it’s a different story. Hot, it tastes and smells like a yellow/white cake baking in an oven. Cold, it reminds me kind of like birthday cake ice cream. This tea oddly reminds me of the Oh Canada tea, it does have some sort of maple aftertaste, but I prefer this tea much better than Oh Canada. This cake tea works great as a dessert served as a latte, it’s very indulgent and even my little brother who is picky about anything loves this tea!

drank Love Tea #7 by DAVIDsTEA

This is one of my favourite teas of all time! So much so I finished up the 50g, and bought a 100g tin! I’m a huge fan of roses and floral teas, as well as chocolate teas and this was NOT a disappointment at all! It tastes great, hot on it’s own, and I don’t need any additives to pick it up (like milk or sweetening). You can subtly taste the strawberries, too! But I felt like the chocolate and roses were the most dominant flavours of this tea.

For something a bit richer, I drink this hot with some sweetener and milk. It tastes so rich and like a dessert! I love it. Also, it’s great cold (and it then it tastes more like strawberries and roses, I find) with some milk and sweetening as well. Either way, it’s a great blend and it’s one of my favourites from DavidsTea. 100 rating for me, I hope they never stop making love tea #7!

This was not what I expected, it fell flat that’s for sure. There was certainly mint in this tea, but that’s all I could taste. I had this hot, and from the store.
