gmathis drank Chance Combinations by Custom

1 part Grace Rare Tea Assam (2nd steep) + 2 parts Thomas Sampson, last bit of the tin = a really nice slow-morning pot. They play together nicely, the Grace assam warms up plain ol’ Thomas quite nicely.

I’m thinking that, much like simplyjenW does a Franken-breakfast blend that’s heavy on the keemun, I may try dumping my all my Assam scraps together to see what happens. (Somebody’ll have to peel me off the ceiling?)

I think my blend right now is pretty even since there are about 4 kinds of tea in it (my Keemun runneth low!) But, yes, they will be peeling you off of the ceiling!

Somebody asked me once when I became a tea junkie; I think it dates back to college when I needed caffeine for a 7 a.m. class but chose not to do coffee. My favorite teapot is a medium-sized Brown Betty given to me by my Mema; the painted flowers are chipping off, but the size and feel is perfect. I rejoice when I get a morning to brew a pot of loose tea starting with a kettle; not a bag and a hot pot.
