drank Wake Up Call by Savoy Tea Co
2904 tasting notes

I have really been digging this one—light, almost citrusy green flavor with the kick of a good British breakfast tea.

The only downside is the steep time—just two minutes. Which means it can’t be left unattended while one schleps around the house in morning routine mode. Funny how something that piddly can make your groove un-groovy.

All the same, I want more next time I’m at Savoy; I’ll just save it for the mornings when the minutes don’t matter as much.

No. I know exactly what you mean.
I always set the timer and then estimate what I can do till the timer goes off.
If its a short amount of time you just end doing that impatient dance around the teapot, mumbling “brew, darn you, brew!”

ashmanra

I can pee and make it back to the kitchen in under two minutes. True story.

Hesper June

That is what I call a tea-drinkers super power, Ash;)

I tend to wash a few dishes or something while I’m steeping. I used to got sit at my harp, thinking I’d have time to play something, LOL. I never did.

gmathis

Pee timing (chuckle). One of those things I never thought about much when I was 18.

When I got a tea with that short of a steep time, I’ll grab whatever current book I’m reading or a magazine, lean against the wall where I can watch the stove clock and keep an eye on the time. Otherwise, I probably would forget!
If it’s even less then that, then I don’t even bother grabbing something to read, I’ll just count till it’s done.
